HAPPY 2019!!!!!!!!!! I got a bit of updating to do for you all, I wanted to share my thoughts on some of the things that have come up this last month, and give you a direction as to where Olympus is going!
1. Civilian Council
Ho le fuk. This has worked out incredibly. Shout out to @Doc and @DeadPooL for taking my idea of a restructure and completely exceeding expectations. You guys are incredible. The Council has already provided 3 updates worth of content and changes in just 1 meeting, and I am really happy that we are getting multiple viewpoints on different facets of the community. The inherent problem with the Civilian Representatives system in the past was that as a Staff, we were only ever getting 2 people's input on the direction of Civilians. Most of the time, it was one person giving his ideas, and that was it. At the first meeting, we had 5 different Senior Civilian Council members debating back and forth about what changes they wanted to see. This was incredible for me to witness as the Owner, and its making Staff's lives a bit easier as well now that we know we have a good representative of you nerds.
Updates have been banging lately. Huge thanks to our Development and Design Team, as they are cranking out great content for all of us to enjoy. Congrats to @Fusah on Lead Developer, and also a congrats to @TheCmdrRex, @Pledge, @Christmas Dash, @DeadPooL and @Shades on joining the Development/Design team. You guys are awesome!
3. Staff Changes
A primary goal of mine was to work on Customer Service and establish expectations of Staff members for Olympus. For the last 2 weeks, Senior Staff have been working on re-establishing rule knowledge, procedures, and quality of work from our Administrative team. You have to remember, these guys are contributing their time for free, volunteering their efforts in order to make Olympus a great community to be a part of. A BIG thanks to all Staff for their patience during this time, and I love you all. I truly believe that in the entire time I have been a part of Olympus, we have never had more dedicated members on the team. Most of them live, breathe, and sleep this community, and we are all lucky to have them. Except @Kyle Lake. Fuck that guy.
As always the video game landscape is changing, and as a Community I want Olympus to be at the forefront of these changes. Its insane to think that we have such a strong player base in a game that is going on 5 years old, and the fact that we are still growing is UNREAL. I love you all for being here, and lets keep this going!!!!
