To be honest, the vigilante situation is ridiculous. Every time you log in, there is an entire gang of them just hanging out in the city, and they walk around with their guns out, don't ever RP correctly, and just pretty much make the game not fun in a lot of instances. They should have to keep their guns holstered like everyone else. There should also be repercussions for not RPing correctly. Saying "hands up" and immediately firing because you want a bounty and then immediately escorting a player to jail happens so often that it would take most of my day to upload every video in which this happens. 

There needs to be some balance here. Maybe only allow a certain number of players as vigi in slots when you log in like medics or police, and if those slots are full you can't play as one. I feel if you are a vigi with your gun out you should be able to be considered a threat and engaged immediately if that's how you want to play. There isn't any time to react when you can be instantly tased with no RP.

One could imagine that it was because it would make crates useless since as soon as anyone found out where you lived, your stuff would never be safe.

Yeah, I get that. But there are ways to make it better. Allow security tiers for houses like cars to extend the time it takes to break in, homeowners insurance, have to lockpick crates, limit the time to break into the crates or trunk once the boltcutter has been used etc.

Yeah. It was a thing. I've been around the block here for a few years.

You used to be able to access crates and trunk. What is the point of having the bolt cutters at all if you can't rob the house?

So a colleague of mine and I allegedly broke into a person's residence using bolt cutters, but the crates and trunk were still not accessible. Do you need something else now? Asking for a friend.

I kinda suck at pvp. I'm a lover not a fighter.

I wasn't trying to stir things up. I just wanted to at least tell my side of the story. 

yes i understand what your saying snake and i actually abide by the rules and try to show responsibility to the cadets.I end up not saying im an apd officer and tell someone just to put his hands up and the guy makes a big deal out of it and wants a pardon.These pardons are a joke and i just wanted to talk about it to get it off my mind.Im also going to say ive seen alot of rules bent and broke by all officers but we all can fix this and go about our way because either sometimes we are just having fun or sometimes our actions that relate to being an apd officer end up hurting someone and we have to comp or so on.In my mind when this happened was that the guy was already running away from the other officer and was looking right at me and hiding behind our truck when i told him to put his hands up and reaction was he already knows who i am but from now on ill always say apd first even though that makes me feel as a robot now.

The problem with only saying "Ricky Spanish, hands up." is that this is exactly what someone robbing me would try to say. And I tend to run when someone tries to rob me. I turn myself in all the time, and am generally polite to most people that aren't rude to me. If the police were to kick in the door to someone's home without announcing themselves they may get shot by the homeowner. It's to protect everyone.

To be fair, Holey Ghost was screaming at me and telling me that he didn't have to announce himself as an APD officer before tazing me, and that I didn't know anything when I brought it to his attention that he didn't say APD and could have been trying to rob me. At this point, officer Ghost was infuriated and again told me I knew nothing and that he was a veteran RPer and I was just a civilian. I then informed him that he was not conducting himself in a professional or courteous manner, as he was yelling at me before I had even raised the volume of my voice to speak above his screaming. He kept insisting that I knew nothing and that he didn't have to announce himself and that he knew the rules. I then offered to read the rule directly from the handbook, which I had open on the other monitor, and he started yelling at me again after I quoted where it says that he is to "always" announce himself as APD which is the first rule in the dealing with suspects section.. I had it recorded but not sure if I kept the video. I'll have to checki when I get home. 

I enjoyed the night. I miss it. 

just because you have freedom of speech (depending on where you live), doesn't mean you can walk into someone's house and start dropping f-bombs every 2 seconds. 

This. It's not about the constitution. It's about a server that is managed by people who don't want it in their game, and has nothing to do with "freedom of speech". Not everyone playing on Olympus is even from America, and some people might live in places where Isis or some other extremist group might have personally affected them, and they are trying to respect the people it might offend. Re-naming a gang takes about five seconds. It's not a game-changer.
