They duped. Every duper has always been wiped. It's standard practice. I want one aegis or one staff member to answer one question. Why was the entire aegis gang using an exploit to dupe cop gear, it is known by staff and proven, and not a single person was banned and not a single bit of that gear was taken from them? Any other gang would have been wiped and permed and this server deserves an answer. *they also used the exploit to dupe gold bars, so they money duped too*

It is confirmed even by staff they spent months exploiting the escorts to get cop gear and gold. It is confirmed by staff mako abused the olympus client to increase armor in a certain t5 vest, and his gang was recorded abusing tf out of it, and no other gang, even tho he supposedly didn't tell them about it.

They have 3 months of cop gear and money from Exploiting APD transports. How do you suggest dealing with that? Not one of them ever served a ban or had things wiped for that. There needs to be consequences. If any other gang did that a wipe would be the least of their problems.

There's more than just this. They've been using an exploit for months (INCLUDING MAKO HIMSELF) to empty APD transports without unsealing it and faced no consequences. @ Sevro is the one who got caught eventually. They kept all that gear. ANY OTHER GANG ON THIS SERVER WOULDA BEEN WIPED FOR THAT ALONE.

I have a lot of respect for the senior devs for the most part on this server, but the incremental staff abuses that have assisted aegis in getting this far have added up to WAY too much artificial value than should be allowed to exist on this server. I think it's time for staff to SERIOUSLY CONSIDER fully wiping the contents of all aegis houses and their money. They got to play around with infinite gear for long enough. What we know for a fact now is from this situation developing: @ Mako Edited the defensive values of certain vests for his own gang (they say it effected everyone, but nobody but his gang knew which vests he broke) @ monster Has an impossible amount of scrap and gear in his houses that cannot possibly be rationally accounted for by any sane person. This isn't some staff gang like tilde that dicks around and keeps to themselves. This is a gang that heavily competes on cop, fights for the gang base using these unfair advantages, and fights conquest against people who don't stand a fucking chance. Every single time you die to a member of Aegis, you have to stop now and wonder, "was that weapon modified to do more damage? Was their vests modified to absorb more damage? Was this a fair fight?" There needs to be actual consequences, and the only thing I can think of that evens the playing field back out... Wipe them economically back to the stone age. If they aren't doing runs, and earning it like everyone else, they shouldn't fucking exist. It's been years the server's been putting up with this.. but the time has come for it to end.

It is tho. Hawk every single time there's a bug or exploit I go through efforts to stop you from finding out about it because I know damned well it's going to be your next ban lol.

Kind of a common sense issue. Discussing bugs and exploiting them before bugs are fully fixed just leads to more people exploiting and more bans. Imagine how much fewer duping bans we'd have if nobody ever taught people how to dupe? There is a patch coming to fix the exploit, and when it's out, I'm willing to bet they censor no discussion on the issue of peaches and apples. They're just saving all the r-words from catching a b-hammer.

They let people say whatever they want to on the forums for the most part within reason on all issues within their control. If you're referring to that thread being deleted, it's because there is an issue with discussing something that's not in their control. "Trading outside of black market" accusations gotta be censored or the server could get in hot water and nobody wants that to happen.

You're right about staff setting the bar. I once got told to kill myself for trying to explain to mako garage changes negatively effected people who pay for oly+. That's why I cancelled oly+. He's gotten better, but the absolutely most toxic and harassing people on this server is 9/10 in a staff gang or are personal friends with staff which sends mixed signals. If hatchbacks is elevated to roles he shouldn't have so staff can laugh at him issuing death threats to Olympus players, @ Boovin needs unbanned. Friendships with staff allow some people to get away with literal felonies, while some of us get staff warnings for calling people gay.

I'm going to assume it was really really bad and warranted because that's easier to take. I don't want to demonize staff, or bring too much flak to their decisions than is actually deserved, but in my experience, when it comes to things like 'harassment,' the largest amount of bias is usually shown. Some people get away with legitimate death threats, some get hard permed. Some people get banned for saying t he absolutely pettiest shit, and some people aren't banned for actual irl death threats. Rules are vague so staff can apply 'common sense,' but ultimately, most of them aren't on the same page and a lot of bias does seep in. If you're friends with the right people, you get a slap on the wrist. If you're relatively unknown to staff or disliked, you get hard permed for the silliest shit (sometimes).

This can't be real. I get shamed by staff in the rare circumstances that I report people for death threats and they immediately get unbanned. If that actually happened, that is whatever the less toxic version of fucking retarded is. That xanx guy literally repeatedly ranted about murdering me IRL, and was unbanned in under a day.

There are many ways to avoid that situation. You can comp before the ban. If you don't think you broke a rule you can go to support and ask. If the dispute comes in while you're offline, they'll usually let you comp. If you let it get that far, you've wasted someones time to upload a video, file a ticket, and go through the pain in the ass process of having to get you banned to get comp. If nobody feared bans and could just comp out, then they would just break rules constantly and bet people wouldn't report, and then just comp the few who do.
