Are custom models allowed on altis life?  I wanted to play around with modeling, but don't want to waste my time if they don't work on the server.

You can reskin items that are already in the the game, but new items can not be added as that would require a download.

A3L is a prime example of a mod while cop outfits are a prime example of custom that you can normally do

Generally new things are download. Old, but new look are server files.
