Hello, why do I keep getting killed on sight?

I have played in this server a few times but only for a couple minutes each time because I immediately get killed on sight every time without any sort of role playing whatsoever. As a person looking for an actual role play server this kind of stuff makes me not want to join.

YEah its a soft RP server and no one roleplays besides medics, and rarely cops.

So what kind of stuff is there to do? I keep trying to talk to people but no one will help me or tell me anything. Im not a squeaker either...maybe that's my problem haha
