Senior Admin David Miller 665 Posted July 16 Senior Admin Report Share Posted July 16 Lots for you today, I hope you like reading! Green = Added Red = Removed Chapter 1 RDM 1.3 Example: Lockpicking/stealing your vehicle, rotor tapping, bolt cutting, active APD warrants, APD house raids/searches, shooting you with a flare gun, physically interacting with your hostages, purposely blowing up your property using explosives. 1.5 You may freely shoot anyone who has your gang/group member hostage/restrained. 2. You may use gang/group tags to engage in role-play. 3. When engaging role-play, you must specify who you are engaging and give the player(s) time to read (Text message) and react (at least 5 seconds). 7.Do not shoot at R&R members unless it falls under the exceptions found in their handbook 10. APD Code 3 (Lights and Sirens) engages all reasonably close civilians with the APD (If you can hear the code 3 vehicle). Evading the APD in a vehicle, shortly after they code 3, engages the APD with the civilian. Chapter 4: Combat Logging 5. Logging out or storing a vehicle specifically to avoid an obvious encounter from happening is also considered combat logging. 6.You may not drive a vehicle into the water to prevent it from being stolen, searched, etc. Chapter 5 Aviation edits. 3. If in a helicopter, you may send a text to another vehicle to engage RP Chapter 6 RNR 1.Do not Interfere with R&R unless they are going against your directives to offer services to another player. 1.2 Citizens may only interfere with a medic performing his or her duties by ordering the medic to stop reviving, or not to revive, a player, group, or gang. Chapter 7 Hostage/Player Robbing 3 After a hostage situation/robbery the player must be unrestrained and safely released within 1 kilometer of a garage or 1 kilometer from their point of restraint, healed/not limping 3.1 Player must also be healed/not limping 3.1 The auto-unrestraint is not considered a safe release. Chapter 9 Terror edits 1.1 All players are KOS inside the city that the terror was started in to the person calling terror and that person's tagged friendly gang members, and said people are KOS to all players in that city until the terror ends. Chapter 11 Jail 1. Robbing, taking hostage or killing a jailed player is a bannable offense. 2. Players may only interact with jailed players for the purpose of breaking them out. 3. Glitching out of jail is bannable. Chapter 14 Explosives 7.Randomly placing slam mines or explosive charges around with no RP causing death or destruction is considered RDM. Chapter 15 Martial Law 6. During Martial law all civilians are engaged with the APD Chapter 18 Misc. (Becomes Chapter 22) 2. You may not drive a vehicle into the water to prevent it from being stolen, searched, ect 5. Switching to a different account after getting banned with your main account may result in both accounts being banned and for longer. to avoid a current ban on your account will result in both accounts being permanently banned. 6. If a player goes to the extent of using a game mechanic to prevent other players from playing the game, this can be considered as massive trolling. 7. Anyone found to be doing nothing but trolling on the server in a severe manner may receive a ban. 5. Anyone found to be excessively trolling in any way to ruin or impede another community member's experience may be banned. 14. Betting outside of the scope of the windows-key betting option for purely monetary bets is not allowed. (e.g. Using the money transfer mechanic for a bet which could otherwise be done with the windows-key -> bet player option) 12. Betting outside of the game server in any manner will result in administrative action Chapter 20: Worker's Protection License (WPL) 3. Exception: Those who are held hostage may not be charged. Hostages must be restrained at all times to prevent abuse. Chapter 22: Interacting with Whitelist Training / Player Tutorial If a civilian is caught interfering with training, they will be sent straight to jail, and be banned by Olympus Staff subject to administrative action If a civilian is caught interfering, they will be banned by Olympus Staff subject to administrative action 2.3. R&R training is indicated by players having [Training] in their name ----------------------------------------------------------EXPLINATIONS---------------------------------------------- <Chapter.Rule.Subrule> CH1 1.1.3 You can shoot people who blow up your stuff 1.5 This is a one-way engagement from the person who has a friend in restraints to the captors. The captors either need to engage like normal, or wait until they are shot at to return fire. Once the captured friend is released the rule ends, and so would any engagement being held up by this rule only. If shots have occurred in the past 5 minutes, the engagement would continue following rule 1.7 TLDR: If a group member or gangmate is in restraints, shoot away. 1.2 Group tags are a thing 1.3 A player must give time to read and react to an awful text message. If you choose to engage boats, cars, planes, and trains all in one message you have to add some extra reaction time. 1.7 no need to check the RNR handbook for rules about how to be a civilian. 1.10. Code 3 is now officially engagement. Civs can shoot cops that code 3. Cops can only shoot if the civ runs in a vehicle, or they engage like normal. Ch4 4.5 Storing a vehicle preemptively has been treated as CL for a while, now it's in the rules. 4.6 This is moved from the MISC chapter as it makes more sense here. Ch5 5.3 This is still a thing you can do. I don't know why we specified you are allowed to do a thing you are allowed to do anywhere in a helicopter. Ch6 6.1 && 6.1.2 There are lots of reasons to mess with the RNR, as long as a player is engaging and RPing correctly, feel free to mess with the RnR. Ch7 7.3 && 7.3.1(Old) We are combining the two rules. 7.3.1 (New) The auto-unrestraint was not considered a safe release before this rule because the hostage player was never 'released' It's now stated more directly to alleviate confusion. Ch9 9.1.1 Terror is now open season! Kill everyone in sight. Ch11 This whole chapter was removed. Most of these things aren't possible anymore, and glitching out of jail would be exploiting which is covered by rule 22.7 Ch14 14.7 Randomly causing death and destruction is the definition of RDM and RVD. Depending on the circumstance, this is still against the rules but is better covered by the appropriate chapter. Ch15 15.6 Kill them cops. Ch 18 (Now Ch22) We moved the chapter because it was weird having Misc rules in the middle of the rules. 18.2 Moved to Ch4 because it makes more sense there. 18.5 Don't ban evade. 18.6 && 18.7 Become 18.5 We combine two rules into one. 18.14 && 18.12 Rewording to make the rules clearer. Betting outside the game is not allowed. Ch20 20.3 This was the most convoluted rule in existence. The rule was if you have a WPL hostage in a red zone they must be restrained so that the APD doesn't strip the WPL hostage license. It's worded so poorly and so niche that we think the rules are better off without it. Cops still shouldn't strip WPL's for no reason. CH 22 Just changed some wording, and added a clear indicator when a medic is doing flight training. If you have any questions about the new rules please submit a Gen Inquiry and we will do our best to answer them promptly. https://olympus-entertainment.com/support/ 12 2 1 1 1 6 Link to comment
