  1. You also need to put in perspective what the role of each rank is. Senior APD positions are one of administrative responsibility within the APD. We watch and manage all of you, and that takes a lot more effort than many of you believe we put in. It is not my job to sit in a room and watch Deputies all day, thats why we have Patrol Officers and Corporals. You guys are the backbone of the APD, much like experienced employees of businesses, or supervisors. You don't see the CEO and CFO on the warehouse floor working 12 hours a day with the guys on the ground to make sure they're getting it right. They have people who they trust in positions above the new folks to ensure they learn and understand what they are doing, so that when its time for evaluation, they are able to succeed. Understanding these roles is the key to understanding why things are structured as they are. That being said, there should never be a case where a higher officer is online and a deputy is alone in the same server. That just simply shouldnt be happening. I'm not trying to talk down to you, or make you feel stupid or anything like that. I'm just giving you my POV.
  2. Sorry, I don't enjoy being berated with questions the entire time I play these days. When I'm available to deal with things like that, I put myself in positions to do so, along with many of the higher ups. It's not really something you'll understand until you get there. We take care of what we can take care of. I'm sorry if that's not satisfactory for you. If you feel you can do a better job, please display keen leadership abilities that will help to propel you through the ranks, rather than simply pointing fingers and complaining like so many already do.
  3. With all due respect..Here's a classic case of not knowing what the hell is going on. We were actually all in that channel doing ridealongs, not playing the game amigo. D3VIL and I were teaching our new Sergeants ridealong procedure. Make sure you know what you're talking about before throwing people under the bus. Simply seeing us in a channel together doesn't mean we're all playing the game together. We need to have discussions, sometimes they just happen to take place in one of those channels.
  4. Thanks for all the guys saying me but.. .
  5. Moderator and Dep Chief coming in the clutch with his 4th forum post.
  6. Much love and respect foxy. Hopefully we'll be seeing you soon! Also, I COMPED YOU SO MUCH BACK IN DA ROFL
  7. To be caught, you have to be trying to hide something.
  8. Just because I apologized doesn't mean I didn't mean every word I said in that helicopter. You can continue to show just how high class and quality you and the organization you represent are. I'll be here doing my thing.
  9. You're dripping with Class Blackflag.
  10. House+Garage DP9 on server two. I believe its a 3 crate. Talk to me in ts.
  11. All APD please check out the forum for all the latest announcements and information on The Laws of Altis!

  12. Love you Jen, We don't like it, But if it helps you personally, I'm all for it. Looking forward to heli patrol.
  13. Specifics don't matter. The issue and question was handled. There is no need for further discussion of the events. Thank you.
  14. I wasn't actually talking about you specifically at all. That being said: If you want me to be specific, the rule you asked about has never changed. Ever. You are quizzed on the rules when you become a constable for a reason, and it's so we don't need to instruct you on details. A lot of players believe there are these mysterious "grey areas" That don't even exist, which is more of what I was alluding to.
  15. Issues like what you talk about doesn't require higher officers to spend their time to log into a server to deal with a troll. That's why there are so many times that many APD members get the response "just handle it". Back when all of us now higher ups were youngin's, Constable was a badass rank. If you were a constable, you had proven yourself, you knew what you were doing, and you weren't asking for help every time you got a situation. For a disobeying an officer charge like in your example Tekcub, third offense is jail. Know your ticket guide for things like that. Many offenses result in third offense jail. (just don't use the old ticket values). You guys don't need your hand held. Asking questions is okay, begging for assistance when theres a strange smell in the air isn't going to provoke a response from us every time. Remember the boy who cried wolf? That happens a lot. You're expected to know the rules and be perfecting roleplay as a constable. If you don't fit those requirements, and need extra help for basic situations, things may need to be reevaluated.
  16. Your cards fine. You def need a CPU, an i5 minimum. The AMD cpus are fine but they mainly just tout more cores. When i was researching I looked at the cpu and the cpu above John's suggestion and found that for ARMA, an i5 would perform at a higher level for the game because BI + threading = not good. That being said, your ram is a major bottleneck. you need to get some DDR3 1600+speed minimum, 4GB is fine but 8 is better. Any brand will do, but I like Corsair. It's also rather cheap if you go for ~1600speed, but if you bump up to 1800+ it can get pricey. MoBos are easy, just pick one that goes with your CPU and is of a reputable name with a good number of upgrade sockets. Make sure your case is properly ventalated because temp is important especially with an AMD cpu if thats what you elect to buy. If there is a microcenter in your area they have MoBoprocessor bundles at a price that no place will beat, including newegg or amazon. Look into them.
  17. Roleplay is the key. If a player is wanted for multiple varieties of charges, no pardon is to be given. If they follow proper required protocol and add additional roleplay, a pardon can be granted. You are never required to pardon a player.
  18. Generally speaking, I'll pardon a player once per reset if they follow the stipulations I previously listed. Regarding your question about the heli crash, players should be contacting you quickly enough for you to have the kills logged in the chatbox if you scroll up. You'll see it was a blatant crash if there's 6 names back to back with no break and the player dies as well.
