Date & Time:
Gang Wars XIX will be live at 1 PM EST on Sunday, December 11, 2022
All registered gangs will need to be in Olympus Teamspeak by 12 noon EST.
Gang Wars pre-meeting the gang leaders will be at 6 PM EST November 20, 2022 in
the Olympus Teamspeak. All gang leaders must be at this meeting.
Eligibility:
You must have a minimum 50 hours on Olympus servers! (Exceptions can be approved by staff)
Players who are banned on official Olympus servers will not be able to participate in Gang Wars. If a player ban evades, the entire team could face a disqualification and a 14d event disruption ban. Normal restricted and POV restricted players may join pending staff approval.
Gang rosters must be between 6-8 players. You are able to have an additional 3 sub players. If you do not include correct player IDs, that player will not be registered for the event.
All players must play under the name registered on the roster.
Rules:
Any player found impeding on the process of Gang Wars in any way will be subject to administrative action on Olympus Servers. Don’t bring on players who are ineligible in any form, cheating, or who do not meet the rules stated above.
You are not allowed to purposely use the smoke exploit. (standing on the canister to see through smoke). If caught doing so your team automatically forfeits the round to the other team.
Looking through rocks is allowed. However, shooting through them is not allowed.
DPI jumping/glitching will result in a disqualification and your team will lose that current round.
Cubby to window jumps are not allowed.
VDM is not allowed (follow main server VDM rules)
Exploiting vehicles to get outside walls or into buildings is not allowed.
At any point during Gang Wars if we feel that a player is out of bounds, exploiting, cheating, or in some way not fulfilling the equal fighting game play intended for Gang Wars, they will be killed, disqualified, or their gang disqualified. (admin discretion)
Failure to provide POV of a requested kill will result in disqualification. You must record all kills with at least 2 minutes of context. It's recommended that you record or use a very long shadowplay window. Players may be requested to screen share through discord by event staff. Each round is 10 mins long for reference.
Dpi/glitching out of your team's dome could result in a disqualification.

2nd place:
$35 Million in game gang funds,
100 War points per player that took part in-game
3rd place:
$15 Million in game gang funds
50 War points per player that took part in-game
MVP: Gang Wars XIX will be decided by the people keeping track of points. Criteria includes possible plays made, kill count, and overall performance.
This player will receive
5 Million in-game money,
Custom in-game title that displays Gang Wars MVP
Pick of any blackwater loot item (including ghosthawks and armed hurons).
NOT IN GANG: If you have a player on your roster and not in your gang and you finish in the top 3, the winnings will be divided and deducted evenly and paid to the player not in the gang. The remaining will be added to your gang funds.

How it works: Best of 5 rounds tournament style single eliminations
Each team will have 5 mins at the beginning of the match to gear up and 2 mins between rounds to re-gear. Its default Arma gear system, clothing and guns on the left, ammo and first aid kits on the right.
When the rounds start you will be teleported to map locations. There is a 10 second lock delay where you can't move or get out of your vehicles. There is a 10 minute timer on all fights with a shrinking zone which will slowly kill players outside of the zone. On OG & Church, the kill zone will shrink to 50m, then to 25m with 1 minute remaining. When the timer runs out, defenders will win unless attackers outnumber defenders more than 2:1.(For example, 2 defenders will win against 4 attackers, but lose to 5 attackers.)
On Alpha cap, the kill zone will shrink down to 1m before the clock runs out. The last team with a player alive wins.
Known bugs:
If entering/exiting vehicle at the sametime as the TP timer hits 0 its a 50/50 chance you will not be TPed and you’ll just have to wait for the next round.
Common questions:
Q) Do we need redgull?
No, there is no fatigue on the server, nor will you get the slight redgull boost.
Q) Are keybinds the same?
Most of the common are the same gun on back, ear plugs, etc
Q) How do we know what map we are fighting?
There will be a meeting with gang leaders prior determining who is fighting what map and who is attacking/defending. Then posted on the public bracket.
Q) What happens if a player's game crashes or disconnects?
Log back in as quickly as possible. The match will not stop. Your team will just be down a person until they reconnect.
Q) What happens if the server crashes?
The game will pick back up where it left with only the active round restarting.
Q) How do we join the server?
When it is your team's turn to fight you will be given a server password. Join the correct faction assigned either independent or civ.
Q) I’m on restrictions. How will I know if I’m approved or not?
Register anyways, you will receive a message if you are not approved. Also why we have the sub spots.
