first of all america is a republic not a democracy. Also how is socialism working out for venezuela?

2 Do you need me to go into detail about how Venezuela is no where near the system that i as a loyal trotskyist subscribe to. The only part of Venezuela that people consider socialist is the only industry which is owned by the government a Republican Style of Democracy (That Better) which is not the same of said industry and factories being owned by the actual working class

If, in socialism, money doesn't exist, then how can any competition arise? I prefer competition over equality of outcome. Nobody deserves any more than someone else for doing less work, which is what socialism is. Equality of opportunity is important because it embraces people's abilities to do as they please. If you want to be happy and poor, go for it. If you awnt to be happy and rich, go for it, you just have to know how.
