  1. Great game last night. Sad about the outcome.

  2. I have no idea what you just said....How do you get banned for following the rules?
  3. This made me laugh. But on a serious note, you will be given a 2nd chance, after 14 days is up. The bans are to keep rule breakers off the server, and to learn their lesson. Now that you said you understood what you did wrong, hopefully it won't happen again in 14 days. Just keep up with the rules and there should not be a problem man, cheers. Don't take this the wrong way, just trying to explain. I am not an admin/owner, but maybe I can answer your question before they read it.
  4. Super bowl party, lets go!

  5. We can agree on some points and disagree on others. I appreciate the positive feedback from my response, and not a trash talk back because I disagreed. Glad some people can still disagree, on some things, and discuss them maturely. Anyways, I can understand some of your points, and glad you can see some of mine. Cheers and hope to play soon.
  6. First off, besides deputies, P.O's weapon is not a long range weapon, so there is no sniper shot for them, because of inaccuracy. So, using a closer range weapon, for a sniper shot is a bad idea. The next step up, in terms of weapon range, is the corporal gun, and if there is a corporal playing, he should be the one doing the negotiation. Same thing with a higher rank than corporal, and so on. Second, officers never purposely fail the negotiations.... They always try and work with the hostage taker to keep them calm and let them know you are trying to do something to help them. This also includes stalling them, and telling them they are getting something the hostage taker wants, even though the officer knows that can't happen. Quote: "Taking down criminals is the job of the police department. " - To a certain degree, yes. But, another main objective is to maximize safety and minimize casualties. Also, cops do not purposely fail negotiations to kill the bad guy. The objective is to always get the hostage out safe, and the bad guy detained....alive. I understand what you are saying, and your point, but you are the one looking at it one sided. The reasons we have negotiations is to come to a common ground, on a decision. If that can't happen, under certain circumstances, then an alternative solution has to happen. Purposely failing negotiations is not RP-ing it at all; its "wanting" to kill the hostage taker just because you can. Of course your previous situation can work, but taking down (killing) criminals is not the police's job, it is to save the good guys, and detain the bad guys, and that doesn't mean kill them in every hostage situation. I hope the other side of the bridge makes sense to you.

  8. LOL took me about 4 times to get it.
  9. So if the cop gets killed then the civ, that was invulnerable, and being escorted, is now standing up and can be killed? Making sure I understand correctly.
  10. No offense, thought this was going to be stupid. Watched the entire thing and really enjoyed it man, keep these coming!

  13. This is going to be one destroyed island.......
  14. Completely understand. Is the only reason this is happening because of the killed of detained people? If so, why not just record and report, like everything else? I'm not arguing at all, just trying to fully understand.
  15. Wouldn't it just allow more cops to escort people away, to the HQ, during a firefight cuz they know the detainee is more difficult to shoot? I understand the current situation, but isn't cops escorting people away, during a fight, wrong as well? Wouldn't it just give them an easier way to do it?
  16. In my own opinion it would be bad to make it where they can't die. As Warfare mentioned, rule breakers could use them as meat shields. It would also be unrealistic. I know that there are people that kill the suspect, and break the rules, but what happends if it was an accident? If a true accident, then that person, that died, still loses all of their gear, and is still out money. It can be a lose situation for them too, having to spend time to gear up again. Also, I have never seen, in my own experience on tv, a cop leaving the scene, during a shooting, to take someone to jail. Cops need all the backup they can get during a firefight, and its not realistic, to me, to have a cop escort someone out while their buddies are fighting rebels/whoever. I have always been told never to leave the scene, during a fight, until its neutralized, and in my opinion, that is correct. It just seems realistic to me to have ever cop available to help fight, not run off with a suspect because they have a high bounty. Now, I am not arguing with any higher ups or anyone else, just stating my specific opinion on this issue.
  17. lmao

  19. First and foremost, neutralizing the situation, safely, is the main priority, as a cop, during this type of situation. Cops are not supposed to leave the scene, to get someone to HQ, with a high bounty or with a low bounty, when there is a gun fight going on.
  20. I have never had a problem with Burban. There have been several occasions where I, or with a team, have gotten these guys and they were always respectful and honest. I have had a couple members turn themselves in on stuff like this. Everyone paints a bad picture on them because they have numbers and can run around and do what they want. They are playing the game like it should be played and I have not witnessed any of them ever breaking the rules or or having a bad situation, like others have mentioned. They have grown as a group, and have done a good job at it. They are not the "bad" guys everyone paints them out to be. *tips hat* Good job guys.
  21. Welcome back.
