  1. Can I process drugs in a gang shed, or is it just a big house+garage? I have thought till now you could process in a gang shed, but someone told me today that you can't. You can process at a black market, if u capture it? Thing is, I thought THAT was incorrect info. Any help is much appreciated. Thx
  2. I tried to offer some gang 50k to let a medic rez me, instead of doing a 3rd party denial. They agree. They let him rez me. Next second they want me to put my hands up and steal 200k worth of gear from me. How is that RP? Then they act surprised that they have to shoot me a 2nd time. All for some tactical bacon. Later a guy breaks into my house and is surprised when I engage him w/ my 5.8mm. Comp or ban! Dance on the corpse of those you kill, comp or ban, when you get killed. The sooner you accept that this is the attitude of the vast majority of players on Olympus the better it will go for you.
  3. Nope. I think it was promoted to make it viral to take attention off another big news story making the rounds on social media at the same time. *cough Jeffrey Epstein cough*
  4. Didn't the whole thing just get moved to some lame Las Vegas convention center?
  5. Good to know. Thx. All the more reason to implement something similar for law-abiding citizens.
  6. I had another idea. Would it be possible to tie processing times to how many people are online? If there are 85-110 ppl on, seems to me processing times should be sped up about 25%, and if it is below 40 it should be slowed down 25%. Just to give a bonus/incentive to people willing to risk it, when the servers are busy.
  7. I have been playing A LOT of civ in the last month. Probably as much as any one (for better and for worse). And I am telling you, I know based on how someone drives up to rock quarry, silver mine, diamond mine, processing, if they are there to process, or there to raid/rob/RDM. Someone who is there to mine/process will actually be careful. Someone who is part of a pair, or gang, will want every second of advantage they can get, and will drive up at top speed (most of the time, sometimes they will approach quietly on foot, but usually that is in red zones, not at civ sites). I am just saying, if u don't want to get shot at a civ mining/processing site, u should HAVE to drive up at normal speed, park 20m from the center, and say "I am friendly". If u r confident that there is no one there, or that you can outgun them, then of course you don't have to do any of that. But it shouldn't be an RDM if the guy who is already there shoots you, before you have even started mining/processing. They aren't trying to steal anything from you. They are just trying to make sure you don't steal from THEM.
  8. How long does sending a text take? On my computer even after opening up the phone, the list of names doesn't even pop up for 2-3 seconds (esp. since the debacle last week). By then you could be surrounded. My point is, if people are coming in friendly, you know it, and when people are coming in hot, you know it too. And they will RDM you in a heart beat. Your only recourse is to be recording all the time. And for my comp, again, I think about 5-10 minutes of a video comes out to a gigabyte. If I was recording the entirety of a 4 hr play session, we are looking at what, 24 gigabytes? On a SSD that probably has 40-70 gb open space? (SSDs have shorter life span if you fill up the whole HD btw)
  9. I say if you are at a legit income area (silver mine, iron mine, copper/diamond mine, processing sites for the prev. listed), and someone rolls up hot (at speed, and with a gun out), you should be able to shoot them w/o engaging. The guy who is already there can shoot without engaging. The guy(s) who pull up should still have to make their intent clear/RP/engage. I mean, if I know they are there to try mug me/rob me/kill me, why should I have to tell them 'hands up or die' or wait for them to say it? It will put a bit of fear in the guys coming to mines/processing sites full speed, guns blazing, and level the playing field a bit, IMO. Not quite KOS, but not 'ask politely if they are friendly and then get shot in the back by the gang member outflanking you' either. Basically, a new etiquette at legit mining/proc sites, that you have to park 20 m from the center of the site, and/or drive slowly towards it, if you don't want to get shot at by people already there.
