McDili. Please share the way you RP with someone to get their name. To be honest there is only so much we can come up with in order to get someones name. I have had to convince people to accept my way of identifying them. I am good at RP but you know that CIVS come up with the same excuses all the time for their name. So if not a scanner and/or DNA test etc etc what else are officers going to use? I am currently using one that has worked lately because the CIVS have not been salty but yesterday I spent a while trying to get someones name and the session lasted too long. I like this tilde guideline don't get me wrong. But we need your input. We need your ways of doing this because you know how you can spent 20 minutes with some complaining about magically not having a name. We need to be able to play our roles and the more we cater to the CIVS side at least in the identification process the more frustrating it can get sometimes because like I said, there is so much we can do while still following the guideline. In fact this might be the reason some cops are not as active. And also, the CIVS get salty when caught doing ILLEGAL things. I RP all the time but how about you accept your losses and also provide good RP ( NOT THE I MAGICALLY DON'T HAVE A NAME LAME EXCUSE ). If you do this, I promise you we will have a hell of a time... I might even let you keep that "HUNTING RIFLE". BUMP

In all honesty it makes us cops feel aggravated and the experience overall is going to be way different when they give us the " You don't know who I am, you can't do that " attitude. I rather have a CIV cuss at me and be all pissed off ( within RP ) that he or she got caught ( F*** the police ) and things like that than having someone splurge to me the typical nuisance that is the " You don't know who I am, you can't do that I'm gonna report you with my go pro " attitude.

He got the tags recently though. So I always say it isn't official until that You are welcome!! Now, let's go lethal some bad guys!

I understand your frustration of getting caught but hey after all it is a game and we are all here to have some good clean fun. I think I have gotten you at least one time Colton and you were a pretty decent fellow with pretty decent RP. I would not peg you to be one who would complain about this. We have to enforce a balance of fun for both factions. Before wipe cops used to TILDE all the time. After wipe the "TILDE GUIDELINE" made the game more realistic. If you head to other servers ( disregarding HARDCORE RP servers ) you will get a full on follow TILDE, arrest any wanted criminal with no RP reason whatsoever guideline. You are lucky we have this set up the way it is. I think the RP used to pull you over was pretty good and it's the best you'll get out of any server out there. The other day I was watching a stream on a "HARDCORE RP SERVER" and I literally saw a CIV walk up to an officer and tell on the person streaming " Officer, this man stole my money ". The officer immediately restrained him while saying " You are wanted for robbery ". I don't blame you for getting salty in a sense because I used to get mad when caught just like you. After I joined the APD I learned to appreciate all the work and guidelines we have to abide by and every time I get caught by an officer I make it a funny and pleasant experience for them. You'll never understand this completely until you join the APD. It is a pain for the APD to have to deal with " How do you know my name " CIVS and " why did you arrest me I am going to report you " ( when the CIV was killing cops right in front of them). So take a step back and try to appreciate what we do here. Some times this "game" can turn really stressful and that is not fun. So all in all, have fun. Go out there and enjoy the game. After all it is an RP server and we are trying our best to keep a balance between a game and real life. If you can't handle being a criminal and expecting the cops to do nothing about it then this is not the game mode for you.

What do do you think about Dustin's proposal?, any way to make it work?. We can build rules around this, of course Sr. Medics will still get all the privileges.

I think this is something to be considered. Maybe put it as a one time entrance or a 10 minute window for entering again to a particular redzone. But this should increase medic activity as we all know most of the deaths occur in redzones.

And again gentlemen I apologize for using the tittle "Medic inactivity". I did not mean to call it that.

I definitely understand. I meant coverage during peak hours, especially on server 2. The big gangs need their medics too. Or let's just say if there is only 1 medic on server 1 then maybe switch to server 2 for a while and then back. You guys do a great job as medics it's just that it is not a role that is played as much as the cop role and it would be nice to have the same activity of cops and medics. You know how you can always count in at least one cop being on in each server? That is what I'm talking about. But it is a sigh of relief for us knowing that you guys are on when we are playing

I just wanted to ask all the medics out there why don't you guys play that much? The maximum medics online at one point I have seen is 3 and that is in an entirely full server. I wonder if there is really no incentive to playing medic other than the 10K reward. I do not play medic because playing CIV and COP takes all of my free time after work/husband/ father ( a dog ) duties. But I'd like for the medics to share a little bit of insight as to why are they so inactive and usually are on server 1 than on 2. Even though I know there are usually more people on server 1 but on server 2 is where all the gritty action is ( mostly in red zones anyway ). I just want to know if it's really just such a mundane role that the least amount of people play it, and if it is then make a list of the things you'd like for there to be to make your play time as medic more enjoyable ( to be considered by the Sr. Medics and staff ).

This is not an "APD SUCKS' thread. It is just a concern that he is trying to bring up. I understand the fact that the moment might have not been the best for a full role play session but I have been caught by officers that do the same thing on a situation way different than this. But slowly but surely the officers are learning to RP more. It seems that when officers are with me they feel encouraged to role play?. Maybe because I always ask them to. But unfortunately not all times are adequate for a good role play session.

Ah, I understand how you feel. When I play civ and get caught by cops I always " have a wallet on me for ID purposes ", why delay the inevitable?. What are CIVS trying to accomplish when already getting caught with the ridiculous "How do you know my name" line?. If they give us a hard time with that it is just going to ruin the moment for us and we are possibly going to be less nicer with you. But, take that break Danny. When you come back hopefully Olympus is still the place you want to be in. Have a good one.
