What happened to all the tutrles?

I just came back to the server after not playing for a few months and when I went out to do turtle runs, like I did however many months before, I was not able to find a single turtle the entire time I was out there. I remember being able to find around a turtle every 30 to 60 seconds and now I just spent fifteen minutes without finding a single one. Any idea what happened?

make sure you have ambient life and sounds on I sat out there for like 2 hours looking for turtles with it off

Honestly exactly what @Invu said. Also make sure that you are in the proper place to even see an abundance of turtles witch would be TUrtle Poaching. This area is also a red zone. This means that you are KOS to all players. So be careful and have a great day @Tobossco
