I am referring to when you said we should watch what we say and do because there are children here @Skateezy

Are you saying you did not play video games that were rated for 18+ when you were 12?

@Skateezy all I'm saying is this is an adult video game. So the game should adhere to adults even though there are kids who play it. There should be no censorship because it is an adult video game. If there are kids who play it its their parents problem not ours. It is tragic that reckful took his life over kids telling him to kill himself but that is an isolated incident, it has nothing to do with our community and this game that kids shouldn't be playing anyway.

I mean Arma 3 is an adult video game so kids shouldn't  be here anyway.

If you're an adult playing a game and you know someone is in their teens or that you play on a server with a large amount of children there is no excuse. We all know the ESRB labels are bullshit and the overwhelming majority of parents don't listen to them (my anecdote could be wrong here). I mean look at the age selection on Steam for fucks sake, its 3 dropdowns sliders and you have access to any game

That's pretty disgusting to diminish someones suicide down to kids making fun of him on Twitch chat. I didn't really watch Reckful but I knew of him and have heard a little about his life long struggle with depression and I assure you it is never ever that simple.

No child could handle the gruesome blood and explosions in Arma 3! Not even mentioning the H, S, and F word in the singleplayer campaigns!!!

Again. All skateezy was asking is to not to bully kids. shit talk/banter is fun but there is a line for everybody where it goes too far.

I'm going to watch this long video. Hope one of you watches it at least

Being in the Olympus community is a mix between high school clique culture and a abusive relationship. Let's start with the first one cause it's the more obvious of the 2 If you are apart of a group you will be associated more with that group than who you are as a person and thats kinda shitty. Along with the conflict between these cliques Sapd hates DB, 5 sAPD hate the other 5 shit like that. It created a toxic ass environment to log into every day where the best part of the server became doing paperwork and that gets me to the second part of my analysis. Arma 3 is like 90% of the time like sleeper I have like I think 1.3k hours on cop and I would say 90% of that was sitting in the back of a orca or hatchback watching youtube. When we did find somebody almost always we would try to find something to fight them over to get some entertainment. That is the gameplay loop I would say in retrospect after playing and going back to several other games it was kind of shit all you did was chase the next fight like a drug high. So why would anyone do this well I would say because of your friends I would say alot of people I met inside Olympus didn't play with many people outside of it. The friends I had on Olympus were the only people on the internet I talked to on a regular basis and it's hard to just leave... I did it and I dont regret quitting the game and sometimes you do need to take that jump to maintain your own sanity.

Also +1 oly and the community does kinda act like a drug addiction if you take a step away from the game and look at it.
