What is the story on sound mods?

Am I allowed to use this? It is client side so it doesn't affect server and it makes it easier to locate shooters, If im not allowed to run this please let me know

and there is the difference from snaps to no snaps, It would make the game better without snaps again

You will probably get a signature check failed if you try and use this on Olympus.  you said it yourself having this sound pack would give you an advantage over everyoene not using it, why would we allow something like that? =P

Sound packs generally don't give advantages as it has nothing to do with graphical stuff it just makes things moderately easier to hear. Also the signature check doesn't count for client side mods unless the mod has its own signature file then it may.

I believe the signature check is added if the mod changes the original files in any way.  As to not giving an advantage the current Arma sounds are awful the ones in this sound pack make it so much easier to pinpoint where gunshots are coming from.  Thats a pretty large advantage to anyone using this soundpack.
