King of the Hill 11/8/2025 4PM EST

How it will work:

We will have a King of the Hill on OG. It will be a time-based event. This event will be max 1 hour long, and whoever has the majority time owning the cap will be the winner.

This will play out the same way a cartel does. Whoever owns the cap, it will count towards them. So if you cap to a higher %, it will take longer for you to lose your cap, and that time will be applied to that team. You guys can play however you'd like so long as it falls within the rules.

Teams will be decided by the captains picking their players. This will be done like a draft system. If you sign up, PLEASE pay attention to this post as I will try and update you guys on here.

When the event is occurring, you will be expected to be in your designated Teamspeak channel. You're gonna be on teams with people you may not know, so this will be the easiest way to coordinate.

You will all be compensated $250,000 for every time you respawn during the event AFTER THE EVENT.

• You can spend more than that if you would like; however, you will not be compensated for anything past that.

Unintended perks:

Leader of the group's gang bank will pop off if they own the cap

Warpoints for kills within the warzone

Good way to get those Ghillie war kills for the ghillie qilin title

Rules:

• No explosive devices or launchers (grenades excluded)
• No armed aerial vehicles
• No chopping vehicles or taking them out of warzone
• No camping rebels or Therisa (No blocking spawnpads with vehicles)
• No players roaching (fighting from safe rocks is OK, just no 1km windmill hill roaching)
• No tasing or arresting any players participating in the event
• No DPI or DPI jumping permitted
• Players will need to be in their designated Teamspeak channel

 

 

This is the first time in a while I've tried hosting one of these events, so I'm sure there will be a few bumps. If you have any ideas, concerns, adjustments, etc., please feel free to share them with me. I am open ears, just reach out to me or comment on this post.

It's determined by how many people sign up. You sign up as a solo. The captains will be selected, and then from there we will set up a "draft" where you pick people out of the pool, similar to fantasy football or any other fantasy sport.

You're not wrong. I said in staff chat, I think I had a brain aneurysm when I was typing this up. Everyone is welcome to participate in the event if they wish to sign up. However, it is not intended to be involved with the rest of the live server. They would be "protected"

Vigilantes and APD are more than welcome to sign up and fight the cartel. I'll even pardon any vigilantes that acquire a bounty from it. I just don't want players' experiences ruined because vigis pulled up and started arresting people.

For a recomendation, I would say have several staff or volunteer spectators to assist in monitoring of the rules during the event itself. 
There will always be hiccups, the more people there are to help those issues, the smoother the event will go.

I think it would be more fair/randomized if the teams were randomly drawn. Maybe allow the chosen captains to pick 1-2 players for co leadership. This way it will become tricky to stack one team with all the talent
