Fed Truck Rule Change Opinions

The added rules to federal events:
Use of explosives with the intent to blow up a federal reserve truck is prohibited and will result in an event disruption ban. (Fed Trucks are Zamak, HEMTT, and Tempest of all variants)

1. Exception: Transporting the truck with a Blackfish, or slinging the truck nullifies this rule against that group.

 

ong, not a fan of this rule change. It's also kinda whack on how your supposed to enforce it. Proving intent would be kinda weird, like what about slam mines, for example?

It’s a good rule change.

Blowing up a FED truck filled with gold is event disruption. You could argue that roaching is then event disruption but the truth is that they are completely different outcomes.

Roaching at a FED, event continues on fighting for the gold. Blowing up a FED truck with the gold, the event is over and no one wins. It’s literally a complete waste of everyone’s time who was fighting for the gold. It’s also extremely cheap and easy to do it if you have the patience, especially if all you want is for someone else to lose.

Only change to the rule I see reasonable is allowing placed explosives on FED trucks as they can be countered easily with buffed mine detectors. For the admin POV, it would also be good if there was some kind of way to make FED trucks known to everyone similar to how deadman switch is displayed on players.

I agree that it does sort of defeat the purpose of the fed, and I wish people didn't intentionally blow up the gold truck, but why not also bring that over to airdrop vehicles? No titaning the airdrop xian cuz it's destroys all the hard work people put into getting it? no one wins. complete waste of time.

How many other things just get completely destroyed pretty much on the regular? I'd say like 50% of the server is pretty much just that. Why are we making a special exception for this one federal event?

I personally wouldn't mind if it was programmed so that say: The first hemtt/tempest/zamak you put gold into is marked as "The Fed Truck" and is immune to explosive damage. Allthough this is literally the "special exception" i was complaining about in the previous paragraph. It makes it consistent though which is why I like it, where as having to deal with "intent" about gold truck and explosives is kinda crazy.

I think there should be a suicide bomber faction and its just one guy whos entire mission is to blow himself up at the current event in the pursuit of ending it. Cops pushing you on bank? better have epi for that suicide bomber coming up as well. Fed truck? goodbye truck. Cop gold truck? Bye bye free apd money

It seems pretty cut and dry to me, for example covering gold trader in mines right after/during a fed is going to be a no go
