Memory Crash/No tilde issue

Recommended Posts

Hey folks, 87 here.

I've been working on a fix for this memory issue that is plaguing certain people in Arma. After a nasty crash and some googling I stumbled upon this thread which suggested deleting the arma 3/arma 3 other profiles folders in your documents folder.

It fixed the memory crash issue however now upon restarting I have no tilde key. If I replace the folders the tilde key works but arma 3 crashes due to the memory bug. So it seems the memory crash has something to do with profile settings but without being able to tilde it renders altis life unplayable. I'm stumped as of right now. I've deleted all local files and reinstalled and it still hasn't returned. Anyone have some other ideas as to what can be done to fix this?

So after the reinstall, you no longer have the memory issue, but your tilde issues persists?

I'd say maybe uninstall one more time, use a registry cleaner so that old registry entries don't carry over and try again? Sucks that you have to redownload Arma though...

Fresh installs have proven unlucki (no pun intended). I've done multiple. I don't know what the issue is and its bugging me to death.

side note: tilde key does work when user is the leader of a group.
