For me Nerdy that makes it even worse the place I was renting was the only place available in town and they require minimum a 12 month lease and I’d only live there 7-8 months even if I could negotiate a deal to only rent it that long someone else would pick it up over the summer while I’m not paying and I’d be literally homeless so I’m stuck paying gouged rates for months I’m not even living there not to mention she charged me $400 of my deposit to cut the grass one time for a 25 yd patch kill me.

@ Panda :)  it sounds like you would support some progressive rent policies 

@ Panda :)  that’s brutal, post secondary education is already expensive enough as it is without land lords sticking it to you. 
 

@ gaz  I would, I think that’s a manner to get the cost of housing under control but that’s a temporary fix, we need to make it affordable to buy a home by building more homes. Reducing regulation is not an option though since we compromise the safety of a home. See what happened with Boar’s Head after the regulations were cut for the FDA.
