I am not hating on ghillie suits. But its weird the people wear them as their regular garb. Additionally, anyone wearing one is likely up to no good. Im not saying your a bad person if your wearing one. But you are probably doing bad things 9 times out of 10 when your wearing it, lol! Anyways, back on topic. Is wearing a ghillie probable cause for APD to stop and obtain identification? If its not it should be.

Ok so I did some science and its not an Olympus problem. Its an ARMA thing. If speeds exceed 100 KPH, on advanced controls, it seems to randomly occur. Im sure it has something to do with the physics that ARMA takes into consideration with advanced controls. Well. it only cost me two Orcas and a hatch back to learn, lol. And as Odin said, R&R are some elite mother f***kers!

I used hooks to sling load on 3 different occasions today. First time I have used them on Olympus. 3/3 loads resulted in an unsolicited, rapid, barrel roll to the right. 2/3 resulted in the hatchback hitting the Orca, which caused me to crash and lose 2 Orcas, a hatchback, and someone elses hatchback that I was attempting to return to an HQ. A civ also died in one incident. I already sent in a ticket. I just wanted to see if anyone else has ever had this issue with the Orca. I use advanced flight controls so IDK if thats causing issues. All three times happened flying straight and level at lower speeds. what the fack!

Just an outside observation. APD seems to rush into the situation all the time. I rarely see APD use tactics when they approach or engage. Everyone in this game is always in a big damn hurry. Like everyone is trying to play as fast as they can so they can finish sooner. Resources are also seldom used. I dont see armored vehicles, helicopters, or R&R at any of these situations a majority of the time. Granted I dont see everything; however, I often circle these active situations and watch the chaos from above. I am usually the only one in the air above it and all I see is APD rushing in lights and sirens blazing to the closest gate and driving in. Sometimes it looks like waves break off to go to different gates, which is cool. But overall it usually looks like a group of monkeys trying to beat each other to the football. I am not APD so this is just an observation. I am sure there is more going on then what I can see. Regardless, perhaps you guys should utilize the knowledge some of the actual cops you have on APD have and start employing some real world tactics. Set up a perimeter around the area and take a min to evaluate the situation. You would probably have more luck. That and clear comms is invaluable. Without it the best plans and tactics will not work.

We are trying to fix that. We have some pretty darn good pilots now. Practice, however, makes perfect.

I have been working on helicopter training exercises for R&R. My goal is to eventually have monthly training sessions. As long as its approved through Odin and Ares, I was going to extend an invitation to APD. The courses would likely take place on the dev server. I was not planning on rolling out the training until late June because of some real life stuff. If anyone would like to see this happen sooner let me know. If there are enough people advocating for this I can try to create an earlier session. Assuming its approved, I was going to allow people to select the helicopters they wanted to practice with.

Thesus should also have this recorded. I think he is going to try to upload the video in the coming days! Watching that intro in person actually gave me goose bumps.

It is invaluable in my opinion. As stated, it allows you to turn your head and look in the direction, in game, that you turned your head. It will change the world as you know while flying around, if you use first person to fly.

Increase the storage space of ground vehicles and decrease the storage space of helicopters to encourage people to use ground vehicles that can haul more. As for the hard work. Personally I rarely bump into civs making runs. Granted I dont play 24/7 and I dont see all parts of the map. But 70% of the civs I see are trolling the cities or APD looking for a fight, which I get. Gunfights are exciting. But money most not be that tight if people are spending more time looking for a fight or trolling then trying to amass funds to buy things they want or need. I admit when i played civ I was lame and only did legal runs. But I had a blast! Doing the runs were part of the fun to me. I would do some runs, make some money to buy cool stuff, and run into other people doing the same thing and interact with them. Now you have to worry about everyone you see robbing, RDMing, or trolling you. There needs to be more legal activities on the map. Maybe make a motor cross track and or a few different race tracks or something. Let people buy quads, off roads, or whatever and give them a large area to jump and race and play in. Activities would have to revolve for the most part around vehicles, helicopters, and guns. Try to find more activities that support that stuff. make sky diving a thing and have a place where you can try to land with the parachute. Give it a little building and let civs operate it if they want. Stuff like that may help. Maybe not IDK, maybe no one cares about legal activities. Make scuba diving a thing. I am sure there are some cool areas on the map that could be marked and used just to Scuba dive and have fun. Hell I use to drive my boat around for the hell of it and do some fishing. If we get more people playing everything would likely pick up again giving gangs more civs to pick on.

I get it Hades, I really do. But looking like a dorky unarmed medic is depressing... Id rather be targeted once in awhile because I have desirable gear! It should really be up to the medic if they want to wear gear that makes them a target. Looking cool and getting shot once in awhile is an even trade in my opinion. Like it or not, aesthetics are important. I of course disagree that everything needs to be purely functional. Helmets would be accurate. All medical personal that operate via helicopters wear helicopter helmets, not baseball caps. Anyways, we have been done this road already so that's all I got.

Why do 95% of the people on this server need to break the law in order to have fun? Its really kind of pathetic. Go play a different game if all you want to do is rob and kill 100% of the time. I get the need to vent in ways you cannot in real life but come on. When I played civ I use to have fun legally. As a medic I still enjoy the game. It seems like everyone playing is out to rob people, commit crimes, and troll. Few people come in with the intent of actually following the law. Development and map design have done a lot to cater to gangs. What a surprise that they are still causing problems. I get that its a gang and thats what gangs are supposed to do. But catering so heavily toward them is not a solution. It encourages people to join gangs, rather then go it alone. Its like freekin Compton man. Where is the RP value in "hands up or die". Stop catering toward gangs! They dont seem to care that the server is running out of newbies to mess with. Once they have driven everyone off they too will leave and then what? One gang already disbanded and I doubt all the members are going to continue to play on Olympus. Why does everything have to cater towards gangs, APD, or illegal activity? Throw the law abiding citizens a freekin bone. I have tried to bring up countless ideas to make changes to try to retain medics and was told no to damn near everything I have proposed. Hell, R&R cant even get freeking helicopter helmets because they are exclusive to APD chief of police! I tried to push for R&R to get raven vests... Nope. We cant even get little shit and yet gangs get an entire chunk of the map to play with. APD gets ghost hawks and bad ass shit. R&R and civs, meh. Like it or not the backbone of the server needs to be civs that are willing to make money legally. Lately the only things I see happening are major engagements between APD and MC. Like Thomas has said they go at it for awhile then a bitch fest breaks out about rules and RP. What a joke! Thats not RP thats basically Wasteland. The server is getting torn to pieces by this crap and it sucks. Im sure people will read this and say leave if your unhappy. If your going to say it save your words! I am here complaining about it because I want things to improve but I clearly have no say, weight, or way of doing anything about whats going on other then to be blatantly honest about it. Moob, I tried to send you this message in a PM but your messages are full or something. I dont want to steal this thread so this is all I will say about this. I have not had many issues, which would consider over the top, with MC until the last 2 weeks. There are a couple of MC members, and associates, that are making the rest of the gang look like shit. I understand that its frustrating when a medic doesn't provide services. Regardless, that's no excuse to act and react the way some MC members are acting. I only deny services to those who are abusing the EMS system by trolling and dying over and over under the assumption that the medics are obligated to stay with them and not assist anyone else on the map. The only other reason for me to not respond to a call to assist or revive a person is when I am ordered not to, or to stay out of the area, by APD. Whether people want to accept it or not, medics are obligated to abide by APD orders as we are required to be law abiding. Just yesterday, while you were in the panic room, one of your members called me a faggot. Ive also been called a cunt and a shitty medic by MC. I have even had members follow me around the map trying to prevent me from reviving other players. I have had my wheels shot out and chopper damaged multiple times by disgruntled members, which is retarded because it does not really effect me. It does however effect those other players waiting for medical assistance. I dont offend or have my feelings hurt easily so I could really give two shits what people on this game say or think. In fact, I think its comical that some people get that upset at the fact that I cannot help them. Regardless, the behavior is unacceptable and I am on the cusp of denying service to all MC in the future based on the vulgar behavior of only a few members.

Some people are just fucked up. I have been called a "cunt", a "faggot", and an "ass hole that is a shitty medic". All because I follow the rules and play the role as it was meant to be played. I have also had players follow me around the map and break my helicopters and vehicles because I did not do what they wanted me to do. Unfortunately, all of my issues have been coming from MC or those affiliated with MC... Kinda pathetic really...
