Just because a video is posted does not mean it will be an auto ban. There are factors that go into it when we issue bans. In a nutshell though, if it is obvious a rule is broken and it warrants ban we will issue one. If we have even a small amount of doubt we tend to try and play it safe so we don't punish players who don't deserve it. We also don't perm player right away, we try to give a chance by issuing small ban times to start and increase them as needed. Just because you don't see that a player was issued a ban, warning or some other type of punishment does not mean nothing happen. Sometimes if we feel the player simply needs a talking to them we may try that, if we feel they simply don't care and will do nothing but cause issues then they may receive a perm on the first shot. We try to be fair with each player as best as we can though.

You know I've kept this to myself but just to show you the amount of time we put into these servers I'll state something for you. This is just coming from, not the other staff. My wife and I are on the verge of leaving each other, 11 years together btw.. Not because we don't get along, not because we fight about stupid things but because I dedicate to much time to this community. She feels I give this community more attention then I give to her, so ya I think myself and the rest of the staff do our damnest to try and make things work here for everyone. In the last couple weeks I have been MIA because I am trying to fix that but at the same time the damage is already done. She understands to a point why I put so much time into this community but at the same time she doesn't. I'm tired of people who think we do nothing but sit with a stick in our asses doing nothing.The next time someone wants to complain that the staff don't do shit maybe open your eyes, look at the rules and make sure your at least doing your part. We can't be everywhere at every moment. We also rely on your reports to take care of issues. If you don't give us anything then we can't give you anything, as simple as that.

Sigh, yet another post with someone crying. I wonder what the odds are that there hasn't been a single ticket submitted by the OP regarding this issue. Can't do much if we have nothing to go off of.

lol I'm not leaving. I just simply having some major things going on IRL so I have to attend to them for right now. I'm still here, still talking with the other staff and whatnot. Just kinda lurking about as I can't do the whole admin thing as I should atm. Once I get this RL stuff taken care of I'll be back.

Sup everyone, Just wanted to pop in and let ya know I'm still alive and all. The last couple weeks I've been dealing with some major things IRL. While I love this community I simply have to deal with these things first. With that I may be MIA for yet another week or 2. I'll try to hop in here and there but as for the admin side of things I'm not really in a good spot to deal with them atm. Once everything is taken care on my end I'll def be back. Until then make sure you refer any questions you have to Ace if one of the other admins can't deal with it. He's covering for me and so should be able to help as well as I have been able to in the past. If it is something he can't he is able to get ahold of me and I'll go ahead and try to do what I can for you. Aight have fun all, I'll be lurking here and there and maybe just playing to get my mind off things. If you happen to see me online and you have an issue and it is something that can wait or be directed to another staff please try to do that first. I don't want my RL issues to effect my in-game choices.

Just click the live streams tab at the top and then you can add it to the Livetream page. Make sure not to use the full link just the channel name. Hit submit and it will be added for everyone to see.

If it's a one time thing and we catch it we will tend to remind the player it is not allowed. If it happens on a constant and a warning does not help then a short ban may be placed. If it turns into a long term issue or an extreme issue then a permanent ban can be issued. It's a hard line to draw sometimes as in some cases it is just the role while other times it is simply a player being flat out rude. In the end we don't not allow constant or extreme types of harassment. If there is an issue with a player doing this then feel free to submit a ticket. Don't do it over someone calling you a "Dipshit" or something like that unless it is all the time type thing. More extreme things such as sexual, racial, ect we tend to take action on quickly though as we have little tolerance for that type of harassment. Always keep in mind though it is a game as just as with any other game there are going to be troublemakers who try to get under another persons's skin. If you feel it is becoming to much of an issue then let us know. If we feel it isn't enough of an issue we will let you know at that point. Not every case will be ban a player though so please keep that in mind. If we feel that what there doing does not fit a ban then it won't happen. This doesn't mean we won't have a chat with the player though. We just don't want tickets with little things that just come with the online gaming scene. Make sure it is a legit and real issue before submitting a ticket of this nature. Forgive my ramble as I've had less then 2 hours of sleep at this point.

You were lucky a permanent ban was not enforced for what you said. Sexual harassment is enough to get you perm'd. While we understand there may be some things said in an Rp nature the messages you sent to the player were beyond RP. Go check the rules, it is clearly written that sexual harassment is not tolerated. On another note do not post things such as this here. If you want to discuss a ban then do it through the ticket system like every other person is required to do. We understand that a person may not always have evidence but you can still explain your side of things which we do take into regard. Regarding the other player meta-gaming, if you have proof then make a ticket and we will deal with him on that.

How to record - Please don't post reports in the forums. Use the ticket system. If you don't have any proof then you def should not be posting it on the forums and starting problems.

The Hummingbird atm will not be an illegal vehicle. Yes it has seats but it is also useful for transporting goods. The reason the Taru bench is illegal is because of the amount of seats it has plus the fact it is not a goods transport as well as the armor on it. The hummingbird is also much easier to take out vs a Taru.

The 10 minute rule is so other players gametime is not ruined. If we didn't have a time limit then players could be held hostage for to long and it would simply piss them off. We allow the 30 minutes just incase the player wants to continue to RP but it is there choice after the 10 minutes. As for hostage amounts, it is something we are talking about. Adding a cap to the demand amount I think would help things as well as stated above.

The update was pushed to 1 of the servers today. Once we have made sure it is stable then we will go ahead and push it to the other servers as well.

wrice4 I may have to get me a new RTA. That thing looks beast. Only thing I'd be meh about is the pyrex but I don't use any juices that would really effect it. Not big fan of the "whole glass" look but I think I could get over that. It might even look better on my T5 since that thing is already so wide. I'll have to do a bit more digging with this one.

Damn 80-100w, the head rush must be real...lol. I'm working on a 1.3 at about 25w 14mg and it does the trick. Next build I plan to drop down to a 0.8 ohm. I also chain vape tho. Chain'n at 80w would knock me out I think. I go thro about 10-15 ml a day easy, wife hates me for it cause I have to keep buying nic juice to make more. Was just looking through some of my old vape gear and damn I have amassed a collection. Have yet to get a Mech, I def prefer my regulated mods. Still have my AGI Hybrid but never really liked it much. So far my Kayfun has been my fav to thro on everything.

Crap like this is what pisses me off. So to make it right I will be removing the money from his account and placing it back into yours. If he wants to say you broke a rule then record and report otherwise he can STFU. When he shot at you he then made the choice to get shot back. I have been hearing way to much of this happening lately and enough is enough. Players will start getting banned for crap like this. If someone does something wrong deal with it like a rational person and not a 10 year old on a power trip. If someone offers ya comp for a mistake then grow the hell up and accept it or not, don't keep going after the person for more money. As Gary stated they can once in awhile kill someone but it doesn't happen often. In this case you were fine, it was a glitch and you wouldn't have gotten in trouble for it. Now on the flip side of things, an issue like this should be submitted in a ticket and not the open forum. If someone is trying to pull crap like this then report them and we will deal with the matter.

APD do not need to pardon you at this point. You did the crimes and so the bounty is still there. You may however re-engage in the situation with proper RP or hightail it out of the area.

Fusion if you have been a lower rank for an extended amount of time then it's best to send a PM to one of the seniors. Do it respectfully, explain why your asking and if there is anything that they are wanting you to improve. Don't beg or be rude about it and one of the seniors will then let you know whats going on. Sadly you might be one of them that has fallen between the cracks somehow or there might actually be an issue. If ya ask they will usually let you know what there concerns are. As for asking here in this post, not the best of ideas as this thread is about other things. Let keep the topic as hand going.

It really wouldn't be possible to just give certain items to certain players. Doing something like this would require one player to give the other player to the items or new ranks on the backend would need to be created. In the end Cadet and Constable are basically trials for the APD members. While I do understand there are probably players that have been missed the seniors do try and get everyone. IF they don't see them play then it def can effect there promotions. I would say if you as an APD member see another APD member doing good things, it doesn't hurt to just drop a quick TS message to one of the seniors just letting em know. For the TS issue just submit a normal player report. Make sure you have the audio of the whole situation otherwise there might not be much we can do about it.

I'll try to respond a bit here. If I miss something please forgive me as the post was rather big. Corp ranks are earned for varying factors. If we gave lower ranks the perks of the higher ranks then there wouldn't be a real reason to try and work your way up the ladder. The APD can't just promote those that don't deserve the rank either. With that I do agree that the higher your rank the more you should be on. Yes it is a game and is meant to be fun but if a person hits a higher rank then simply stops playing then they don't deserve the higher rank. They need to stay active and help the lower ranks. This doesn't mean they shouldn't ever play civ but they should be seen playing APD and noticed by players. R&R has started using the the stats page to keep tabs on the activity that players do. We use this as something to help us decide on if a player get promoted, demoted, removed type thing. Now time played isn't the only factor but it does have it's part. With R&R it is much easier to keep track of though as the numbers are nowhere near as high as what APD is. With APD it would require lots more work for this and could actually hurt having the higher ranks playing becuase they would be busy updating the stats. I brought up a topic the other day about players who start out there situation with "I'm recording". From an admin side of things I may not even deal with tickets that start out like this. I also personally feel that if a player wants to start out a situation like this then they should just simply be sent straight to jail. They have already broke RP and so there is no reason the APD member should have to deal with a player who doesn't want to play correctly. I will be discussing this with the senior APD as well as the other admins and it just might be an addition to the rules. If an "off-duty" APD member jumps into the APD channels on TS for any reason that is grounds to be removed from the APD. This is meta-gaming and will be dealt with if players are caught doing this. If they want to inform someone of a rule they can send them a message in TS but not jump into the APD channel. They also should not be doing it in an abusive or disruptive nature.

As long as you stay in the jail I believe the timer keeps going. I have not had a chance to test this out but this is how it should be working. If you exit the jail though the timer is stopped, a charge is added and you will need to be arrested again before your time is finished.
