discord v teamspeak

Recommended Posts

Discord

Pros

Free

Simple to setup

Easy to manage permissions

Cons

Lack of permissions

Terrible chat management

Not as customizable as other solutions

Teamspeak

Pros

Very customizable

Huge amount of permissions

Great chat management

Cons

Not free (Yes there are free services but they aren't as good as payed ones)

Complicated to setup for new users

permissions can be complicating

Conclusion

When it comes to communities that need a alot of different permissions, channelsetups, and all around customizability go with teamspeak. But if you need something for a community that doesn't need complex permissions, doesn't need hierarchial channelsetup etc go with discord.

For friends etc I go with discord. Why? Because it is simple to use, doesn't cost a dime, I don't have to manage the server one bit and everything works without hesitation

But for things like Olympus and the Gang I think TS is a great choice, where you need permission customizability and hierarchical channels.

I personally don't like teamspeak because there's no noise when you activate your push to talk and bc it's completely white but that's just me :D

You can change the theme and why does it need to make a noise, you don't know that you're pushing the button? :Kappa:
