Why not wipe now?

Instead of waiting until Friday, why  not wipe now? I find myself not wanting to play because any progress gained until Friday is pointless. I'd rather just wipe and everyone start fresh now.

They are doing this so all the people who worked hard for there money can atleast spend it and have fun while doing that before they lose it... If they just did a wipe now a few people will be very angry that they didn't get time to spend there money

As bill said it's all about giving players the ability to spend their money and have fun. Also Poseidon still needs to prep and finish any last features/bugs he's working on.
