New FOV update sucks for people with ultra-wides

Recommended Posts

As the title says, playing Olympus on an ultra-wide now kind-of sucks, everything is super zoomed in and its just not enjoyable.

I understand people with smaller aspect ratios etc were using higher FOV to see name-tags or something, but this fix just seems to fuck over those who were not abusing it / playing on a higher FOV for a "normal" look.

My default FOV is now not allowed by Olympus and changing to 99 just sucks...

Really hoping they un-do this update.

Just don't use a ultra-wide monitor forehead

Switched to one ~2 years ago after having a triple 27" setup for years before that

Prefer it for productivity and the work I do, got used to it for games after a short-while too and now also prefer it generally

If you really need a temporary fix you can just change your aspect ratio to 16:9 but they definitely should give exceptions to ultra wide players
