If you want to have a view distance cap, put in a view distance cap. I think fog is the worst of both worlds where it doesn't really limit view distance that much, but it does make it annoying to use.

Your FPS drops aren't due to the fog. If anything the fog will give you FPS.

That's kinda the point.

The entire reason that it was added at all was due to the weather being bland as shit 24/7 day with no deviation at all. I'm open to ideas, but going back to the 24/7 day pure sun no clouds is really retarded.

It would be cool though if the server's weather was dynamic. Snow,Rain,Extreme wind etcetc

I like the fog, it changes up gameplay. Bringing rain back too in varying amounts would be great to see happen. Varying max amounts of night brightness could be cool too. It all adds to the "immersion"

Rain and Snow are in the rotation, though its very rare to get either. "Extreme" wind was also in, but people complained about it being like a hurricane "constantly" (for about 20 minutes)
