Popular Post The Pilot 176
Spoiler As most of you know, I don't think I have ever posted anything serious on the forums. Usually when I post something it gets me banned; but this isn't a normal Frost post. This is me doing what I can to stop someone else from ruining their life. About a month ago I went to a party on a Friday night, got drunk and got pissed off at some people and decided I was going to drive home and nobody was going to stop me. I made it home that night. Not before crossing a four-lane highway and driving down the wrong side, passing out at the wheel and hitting God knows what. I woke up to the sound of metal crunching and glass breaking. I was too drunk to even comprehend what was happening and I drove the rest of the way home. I woke up the next day in a panic. My truck was ruined. No idea what or who I hit. Never did find out. Thank God nobody was hurt. Fast forward to July 5th 2016: 2:15AM. There was a 4th of July party held at a friend's house Monday night. Quite a few people showed up. It was a normal party, everyone drinking and having a blast. Around 2AM, one of my best friends decided it was time for him to go home. He only lived 1.5miles from the party. Should've been an easy drive home. Nobody thought about stopping him. Lee always drove drunk and never had an issue. So he left the party and turned onto the last road before his house, he made it about a quarter of a mile down that road before colliding with an Amish buggy. From the looks of the skid marks, he must have seen it at the last minute. He smashed into the back of the buggy sending the Amish man flying and the buggy destroyed. Witnesses say they saw Lee stop, and take off when he realized what had happened. He drove his half-destroyed truck the rest of the way to his house and parked in his driveway and sat there. The cops and paramedics were called out to the scene of the wreck. They were told that there had been a hit and run and so the police went to find Lee. When they showed up at his house, Lee got out, walked inside, pulled a gun and committed suicide. He felt there was no other way out. He thought he had just killed a man. The thing is, that Amish man only suffered a broken arm. Lee killed himself for no reason. He would have gotten a DUI and Hit & Run charge, maybe some jail time. It wouldn't have cost him his life. This is really tearing my apart right now because ever since my accident I have tried to help anyone I can by going and picking them up from parties. I don't even know how to comprehend this. Lee was never suicidal. He was always happy and helped everyone. It's a tragedy. I guess if there's anything for ya'll to take in from this it's to learn for one, there are a lot greater things in life than playing these games. Spend time with your friends and family as much as you can because you never know when the time you have with them will be cut short. Secondly, I beg all of you, do not let yourself or anybody you know drink and drive. It's just not fucking worth it. No matter how cool you think you look or whatever. Stop. It's not worth your life or anyone else's. Thank you. Everyone be safe. RIP bud. 16 Quote Link to comment
