  1. If any of you bite down on bait this obvious, you're dented.
  2. I could think of 15 players at least who stopped playing right about the same time. In a way it was almost as bad as a server wipe, even for server one people. All of a sudden, there's 50+ near players on the server at any given moment without houses or any viable ways of making money besides robbing people. It killed runs, and still all this time later, runs are still over hounded, even with a lot of the s2 gangs buying houses of the people who quit the game.
  3. Why would anyone want to buy houses on a server they can play on 1/3 of the time?
  4. The server expanded to 120 pop while simultaneously closing server two while doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to boost ways to make money until very recently with the plane runs. Plane runs are not the solution though. And yes, runs should be dangerous, but in order for the server to be healthy, no more than 2/3 runs should be getting robbed or the economy isn't healthy and productive anymore. You need the players who grind it out so the players who just wanna steal actually have someone to steal from, and lately, nobody's trying to grind it out without a frit, armed jeep, and air support and one guy doing all the work lol (S-Tac, I stg). When the player pop went up, the number of resource zones should have went up to compliment it. It did not. Taking the standard model, that worked fine before, you would need 3-4 additional resources to keep the economy healthy. There are already some that are nerfed to death that could be brought back like salvage and turtles, and plane runs were buffed already (which helps), but it wouldn't kill to make up a couple more bullshit resources and use up some of that barren nothern space near meth. If we absolutely have to shut down the other servers, we could at least adapt this one to have enough room that people have a chance at avoiding being found. I promise that is the next move.
  5. Should be allowed to play lower pop to chill and farm with more manageable risk without having to wake up at 6am. I literally watched sand pro with thermals at 2am as a group tried to do a run. This is 2am, not peak hours. One small group was there with a tempest and a zamak, and three guys. 2 orcas dropped on them, killed them and took their shit, then on the way to chop shop (ITS LITERALLY LESS THAN A KM AWAY) they new guys got killed and robbed by a quillin, of dudes, who then got dropped on AGAIN at chop. So two trucks, over the course of 15 minutes, over the course of 1Km changed hands 4 times before they got chopped. These trucks, doing a LEGAL RESOURCE, and were likely newer players getting a feel for the game. Everybody's got their opinions why the servers dying, and just get hostile and defensive when you point out the painfully obvious reason. THIS MAP WASN'T MADE FOR 120 PLAYERS. Population peaks are supposed to be met with population luls, and not everybody has the option of playing at 7am to farm. So now we're stuck in this position where the "I don't do runs, I only rob and do cartels" people are finally starting to see how short sighted this decision was, and a lot of the people who don't even play the game that support it are hearing the constant complaints, and looking around for someone else to blame (i.e. Silla).
  6. If you try to explain to anyone why this was a retarded thing to do to the economy, they will refuse to listen and act like you're stupid. You are correct though, it was a stupid decision made by people who don't do runs.
  7. @PUREPK TTV I mean to be fair.. even on my best day, I've never wiped the entirety of silla by myself.
  8. fuck bomos.
  9. Literally said "several." Where did I imply that I'd at all be on the leaderboards. Whats funniest about this though is all that shit talk against silla, and they're beating you in conquests lol
  10. Don't ever disrespect me by underestimating my rattiness like that again. I've ranked in several conquests solo, even got 3rd place once.
  11. Ticket is still active on the last step for senior admin. If I post details of it they'll probably lock the post or delete the reply. I keep pushing it up, not because I care if the guy gets banned, but because I'm asking for answers in black and white as to how this rule works. Basically I was robbing an enemy gang, and someone from another gang, from another vehicle, killed me in the fight with no engagement, despite no shots being anywhere near him. Ruled as "Group Engagement," and I have no doubt if I just sprayed him down with the rest I woulda got an rdm ban. I want "group engagement" to either be detailed out in black and white, or tossed out the window tbh as my opinion on the matter.
  12. Need to make this a thing and GET RID OF THE SELECTIVE JUDGEMENT "GROUP ENGAGEMENT" rules that basically let people RDM if the mods like you.
  13. I've been a strong proponent of this since I started playing. There are a looooot of gangs that keep one or two members untagged that intentionally run around and rdm bait, and then demand excessive comp if you accidentally kill them. Unfortunately, the rules are designed so that "group engagement" basically means if the mods like you, it's not RDM it's "Group Engagement," and if they don't, you're a SCUMBAG rdmer enjoy your ban. I thnk autotags should extend to groups. The moment you join a group, you automatically get the tags of that groups leader. The rules are basically written right now so that teacher's pet can rdm whoever they want and say group engagement, but some noob in kav shoots someone that was engaged with his friends and HE needs to wear tags to do that. I had an incident a couple weeks ago where I was robbing a couple enemy gang members at glass trader, and a member of Silla just decides to dead ass RDM me, despite not being tagged with them or rednamed, and mods and admins all agreeing this is "group engagement," where as if a new player does that, he would have been banned for RDM, and if I had just killed him on sight it would have been an RDM charge on me. We have to clear that gray area up. It's just an extremely bias way to play favorites.
  14. The fog is overpowering. Dead ass can't see 1k with it most of the time, and sometimes it gets so bad it starts to block infared.
  15. It's become a popular thing to blame silla for the (death) of the server, even though it's doing fine. Taking kidneys has absolutely no bearing on gameplay. You get it right back, and you're guaranteed not to be killed. There's at least 15 gangs on this server that sexually harass, and scream the N word at you every time you're in cuffs. There's gangs that dead ass mass rdm new players because they know they don't record. There's gangs that dead ass hack, and rob new players of peach runs. I love watching so many players mad about their numbers whine that silla is somehow the death of the server, because when it comes to toxicity, they're pretty low, and frankly one of the best gangs to meet off the bat. So they take a kidney, and help you get your kidney back. Most gangs would just kill everyone without mercy, and half the people they mess with are kavala rdmers that don't bother reading the rules, and end up getting recruited into silla anyways. What bothers me more is admins going after silla like they're some kind of a bane for existing. Admins should be decidedly, far far more neutral with silla then they seem to be. There is no death of the server. It's managed to survive servers two and three being cut down and all the players we lost from that. It's still much higher pop than basically anyone predicted it would be at this point. Look at all the shit silla actually does for the server: Donates For Uniforms Helps acclamate new players to the rules Gives new players a gang to join Keeps the cops entertained (probably one of the main reasons so many cops are online on standby) I, and most relatively newcomers in the last year or so, started off dealing with gangs far far far far worse than silla. I could show videos of the first times I got robbed that make silla seem like a "welcome to the neighborhood" party, complete with giftbaskets. In my opinion, they're being used as a scapegoat because they're big, and the only true zerg gang left on oly. What damages new players on oly is something far more obvious. Most of them believe there are no mods or admins so the rules aren't real. You can argue with these kids all day but they will say "I've been killing people for a week and haven't been banned." Then when the tickets finally catch up to them, they catch a 7 day on their first ban because tickets piled up for 2 weeks and got done all at once. If they had actually gotten banned within a day of their first rdm, they could have corrected their behavior right off the bat, and that player wouldn't be nearly as discouraged. Silla is stuck in a city full of noobs that think admins/mods are a myth, and that tickets don't really exist, and they make the best of it, and they manage to do so without being toxic, and having to deal with the same people rdming them on a daily basis for weeks before they get banned. /endrant
  16. LOL... Wanna see someone shooting defenseless cops I'll post my half hour fight with like 8 dead cops from the water.
  17. Because they all have to be detonated at once.
  18. So basically, the way explosives work, as long as you kill someone you're engaged with or enemy gang with, that explosive was legal despite property damage or collateral kills, it's legal. So does that rule extend to multiple remove explosives? Say I kind of paper an area with several, hoping an enemy steps on a spot, and he does, but someone not engaged with steps on another. Since you have to detonate all of them at the same time, would the collateral target be considered a legal kill?
  19. Cause you weren't there for CTF's golden age. He meant back in the day. He also said WXM, which was an allied gang of ours that doesn't exist anymore either.
  20. Noble started throwing in the towel right before ctfs golden age.
  21. What gang are you? Let's do some research.
  22. I literally trained my ctf noobs to drive in circles when noble helis came after them. They'd always crash.
  23. I think he means more fall in and submit to my command.
  24. You expect too much of them grandma.
  25. Honestly I just think it's fucked up how sillas always shooting people tbh. They shouldn't do that.
