So, I might have a problem... been doing research and I now realize that I don't think my hard drive is properly installed and I'm not using it.
Can someone take a screenshot of what their storage things look like with an SSD and a hard drive. For me, the only thing that shows up is my 256gb SSD and I don't see my 1TB hard drive when i open up my documents.
Would I need to install something or is it simply that I need to check the wires connecting my hard drive?

Every disk you have connected should show. for example if you have 2 disks and one USB it should go up too DISK 2. Make sure you didnt forget to provide power to your HDD
For example these are mine (I removed the HotSwap drives so it's easier to see)
In addition if you do see the Drives just partition them with Disk Management with the setting MBR

were all good now. Fixed it and now it looks like it's working.
