Whatever you do, DO NOT go AMD for ArmA 3. ArmA 3 is optimized for Intel, and AMD CPU's run like absolute shit in ArmA 3. Quote Link to comment

Kamikaze 1178
Im an AMD user and i can assure you that Intel thrives in single core as AMD does not. Quote Link to comment
aaaaaaaaaaaaaa 232
At that price range I would receive men’s you buy used parts. Or save up a little more like mcDili said Quote Link to comment
DoctorC 2
Invest the most into an intel cpu and nvidia gpu, get a good power supply, then you can skimp out on the other stuff Quote Link to comment
MAV 1669
Do not skimp on the motherboard, what good is a high end cpu if motherboard doesn't have good enough / fast enough data channels to keep up...the key of building a budget rig is to buy all parts "around" the same quality to minimize bottlenecks. Also traditionally Intel > AMD but I'm not sure how Ryzen fairs since they've really improved single core performance. But I am building a new rig soon and will be going Intel 8700k.
