ItsGG 1477
So I'm a retard and downloaded something through a sketchy site and now have some sort of virus or some shit, it will open my internet browser and open a fuck ton of tabs and occasionally will have ads pop up over my game or whatever application i have open. If any of u guys know any way or any software that could help me get rid of this shit it would be greatly appreciated. Quote Link to comment

noah:) 3
Norton is my choice, but there are many other alternatives. Do you not have any type of security on your computer? Edited February 18, 2018 by Chicago Quote Link to comment

drama 2979
Honestly a lot of time you can just find it in your files. It’ll have a really obvious name 1 Quote Link to comment
Peter Long 4345
Start off with Malwarebytes. Follow with AVG. Its free anti-virus, good for a quick scan. I also reccomend CCleaner. It will clean up a bunch of useless files on your pc, from cookies to bloatware. 1 Quote Link to comment

Download Avast on another PC, you can use your PC but I'd recommend a different one. create a rescue disk with Avast and a USB Drive and boot from the USB Drive, Avast will boot before windows and scan for anything nefarious. I'd also follow up with Malwarebytes, but becareful with what you delete with Malwarebytes, I've had family members use it and just delete everything it recommends which has included registry files. SQUIDWARD 40
Had this issue before except probobly way worse none of the anti virus/anti malware actually cleaned it of the virus. If nothing works try factory resetting you're computer and saving the important stuff on a flash drive or something. GL Quote Link to comment
