What do you guys think about the suggestion of you can see players on the map if they are restrained but if you hit windows key you can take their GPS and then you can't be seen.  This would mean you need a GPS to show on the map.  Would this make sense to you all?  Do you think we should spawn with a GPS?  Just a suggestion though.

It is a feature on a server called roleplay.co.uk

I think it is a great idea.  Takes out the shit roleplay of "derp derp coms and gps taken derp derp" when the GPS part really means NOTHING in the current state of game as restrain already means you cannot be seen on the map.  Having GPS when a cop restrains would also be nice to help the rebels out a bit.  Good luck getting any sort of support for something that helps rebel > cop though.

It won't help civs in the end though, because the GPS can simply be removed and you wont be able to see them on the map anymore. No point in adding this as it is just one extra step to take the GPS/Comms off of them.

How would this not help civs?

1.  When being robbed by a rebel it gives a significant amount of time for someone to respond and help.  (Whether someone goes through a robbery animation in the middle of the open to remove GPS or brings them to a location to take it while other gang members can still see the person for a significant amount of time)

2.  When being arrested it allows gangs to catch up to the APD.  It is already nearly impossible to free someone who has been restrained by cops since waves are absolutely unregulated and most places to respond to from respawn are close to instant. (Expecially when having to unrestrain, blood bag, repair vehicle, or really anything after a fight).

IMO it is a concrete way of removing their coms and gps.

People like to roleplay that shit is stuck so far up their ass, there's no way to access it.  This removes the ability to say things like that.

At the end of the day, someone could still talk in TS or Discord.

You are right, let's administer this logic further.  At the end of the day people can still break NLR so let's remove the circle on the map and the warning message.
