Helicopter Sling Loading Worth it?

Recommended Posts

What I personally do/did, is I would rather do runs in a helicopter. Preferably runs done in open fields where I can keep an eye of my surroundings. So what I'd do is I would process/pick all my stuff whilst keeping the helicopter spooled up by going in the helicopter as a co-pilot, taking controls, spooling it all the way up, give back controls, and then exit the helicopter and do what I needed to do. What this does is leave the helicopter spooled up, so if someone does come up near you, you can just take off right away and not have to wait for the helicopter to spool up.

Unless you have a group of people and huron plus a hemtt or something around that size range its not gonna be worth riskin the loss of an expensive truck plus a heli when you could do as destruct said above and do a heli run. The only time i ever sling trucks is when me and the gang are going to store a run at gangshed which is super far from any collection sites.

Doesn't the noise of a heli cause you issues? And you use orcas I imagine; cause little birds get shot down fast.

Not really, pop those earplugs in and rely on visual cues. Look around a bit.
