Olympus is actually a great time if you’re playing with the right people. And by “right people,” I mean literally anyone who hasn’t turned this server into their full-time personality, second job, and entire will to live.

 

Unfortunately, Olympus is absolutely infested with the wrong people.

 

From staff, to APD, to R&R, to the fan-favorite RDMers who somehow treat “random deathmatch” like a respected playstyle, the experience is less Altis Life and more Altis: Rules Optional. Sprinkle in the sweaty little no-lifes with 5,000+ hours on a single server and you’ve got yourself a beautiful social experiment on what happens when grass is avoided at all costs.

 

There are pages and pages of rules—literal novels—but somehow people still snake around them like it’s an Olympic sport. And let’s be honest, some admins are so lenient you’d think the rules were just light suggestions. “Oh, you RDM’d three people? That’s crazy. Try not to do it again .”

 

For full transparency, I’ve probably earned several bans myself that never came. And honestly? That’s part of the problem. When I’m surprised I’m not banned, you know the system is cooked.

 

Yes, the chaos can be fun—for a while. But eventually it stops being Altis Life and turns into a circus where nothing matters, accountability is optional, and immersion died sometime around 2019.

 

I have piles of clips. RDM, APD breaking rules, questionable admin decisions, the whole highlight reel. But at this point? I don’t even care enough to submit them. And that should tell you everything. When players stop reporting because they know it won’t matter, the server is already on life support.

 

I hate to say it, but I genuinely pray on this server’s downfall—not out of spite, but out of mercy. Hopefully when it crashes and burns, a solid chunk of the player base will finally realize there’s a world outside Olympus, complete with sunlight, responsibilities, and human interaction.

 

Anyways, I fully expect to get flamed, roasted, and told to “just don’t play then.” That’s fine. I don’t care anymore.

Just figured I’d say what everyone’s thinking.

if you have a good idea on how to start getting new people to play arma 3 in 2026 you lmk, until then you're gonna have to deal with it. you take out the people you're talking about, and the pop drops significantly.

if you like arma and want to get better, train. there are literal training servers called cqc where you can just fight people and learn to get better. do you think that the people with 5k+ have never touched cqc?  personally, i have over 1k hours spread across several cqc servers.

and about the rdm shit, its arma 3 in 2026, 25% of new players just come to rdm cuz they dont care. in other words, we all deal with it and/ or dealt with it plenty of times.

truly sorry you feel how you feel, but most of these "problems" is just you being behind in knowledge vsing people who have been playing for over 10 years. with that being said, i truly hope you stick around and just fight through the hard times.

Actually have helped several complete newbies learn… There’s a clear divide between people wanting to RDM on an RP server because it’s funny and those who actually want to play on the server.

 

Im referring to more IA issues and admin leniency.  I’ve just noticed a lot of fuck shit that gets left with 0 repercussions.

 

I also had an Admin reach out to be personally about this post agreeing with a majority of the things I’ve said.

 

End of post I also mentioned this was written by Chat GPT which pulled shit from a summary I sent it.
