Lets step back.. this isnt a hate post for APD. Apd is essential to server life. It maintains balance with the rest of the factions and prevents any one gang from taking the whole map over and doing whatever they want. While Apd may be taking a turn for the worse, they aren't the only ones in charge. OS ultimately steps in when things get bad, and as the civ council is supposed to we will continue bringing the issues up in meetings with OS to drive change. What this post is saying: APD can pretty much search any house they want so long as a criminal has touched said house. That needs to change. Specifically, the APD should need to be engaged with the person who touched the house, and just entering the house shouldnt be grounds to search. If they barricade into the home, search it. If they interact with inventory while next to/inside the home, search it. But if they open a door and close the doot and run out the back, you shouldn't be able to do anything to that house. @Pledge Real cops dont search houses that are empty without a specific search warrant. And it's extremely difficult to obtain a search warrant to look for illegal items. Warrants for search are usually obtained on the grounds that someone is held up in the home that is wanted for arrest. Cops are only able to search houses if a warrant has been issued, or they make an arrest on the property and believe there to be illegal items on the property. Well known drug dealers houses get searched occasionally, but only if there's a pending investigation into that home owner. I say this because you brought IRL cops into this thread, and my point is this: This isnt how APD does things. This isn't real life. It's a lite rp server, and you can't compare what real cops do to what olympus cops do. The rules are entirely different.

@D P have this down in APD nerfs, and have since a few weeks ago. This rule very badly needs to be re written. As it stands now all they need to see is someone "illegal" open the door of a house.

I don't believe so. Either way, all I did was buy an item then resell it to the same market for a higher price than I bought it for. They've been alerted of the mistake and haven't fixed it. (They're at fault :] )

Raptr, Rotor tapping in the situation you were in was a bad decision. You should have comped them the cost of the orca + insurance. Makes it much easier for a ban appeal. The whole 25 mil thing is the closest 4 crater to square. That's the only comp Onyxcaboose would take. Kinda shitty given that I accepted 1 mil comp for some shit he did to get him unbanned, when he offered me 5 mil. Last time I'll be nice to him and his squad. Anyways, I digress. Raptr, a much easier and legal solution to him hovering would have been to blow out his engine or kill him from the pilots seat. It's not VDM if there's a reason behind it. @RyanDon't make an event geared towards killing vigi's and then block them from their only line of defense. Big gay. Just doesn't make sense to me. Also, I get a ban for tasing people in the purge event (When the forums says nothing about no tasers) and apparently Ryan was warning in game through the message dialogue not to tase. Problem was.. I was fucking dead so I couldn't see the messages. My body was being camped by 4 or 5 cops at my house insta killing me. Not my fault you didn't put the rules down where everyone knew them. (Also I was tasing and NOT restraining, just running away.)

not if you're in another town besides kavala. Like athira, pyrgos etc. most medics aren't actively hanging in those towns.

Possible future update idea.. Usually you can find another garage, but sometimes there's not one close by. Could implement some system where if the car spawn point is blocked by a vehicle that is locked and hasn't been touched in awhile: a civilian can have it "impounded" through the garage menu. You could make this be an action where it takes time to do, maybe the same time it takes to lock pick a car etc. and it should alert everyone that the car is being removed from the space (like when a cop or medic impounds a car). Not a major problem, but it's super annoying when people leave their cars on garages and no one's around to impound them.

I think this will ruin a lot of fun for staff. I'm all for staff being able to play with their friends and act as a normal player. I think if they do, they shouldn't be allowed to use any administrator powers while playing as a normal player. Anyone they want to ban must be reported and evidence uploaded like any other player, and another staff member should make the decision. This takes the pretense of bias, or the actual bias, away.
