as a certified last table finalist it was incredibly tight until 6th place got knocked out, 3 minutes later i went all in on pocket 8s and lost (to a caller with a7o) and like 5 mins later 4th place @ SheriffJohnBeard got knocked out. Top 3 played tight for a while until bunkie got knocked out 10 minutes later and then the entire tourney was finished in like 5 minutes after that. Same stuff happens every tournament, even those irl, loose play at the start and slim pickings at the end until everyone's guaranteed money then it's looser play. your idea to increase the buy-in would also literally make the tournament more drawn out gg to all players it was legitimately fun
