Why is buying/selling in game money in exchange for real money even allowed? Doesn't it perfectly fit the description of what meta gaming is?

Is it even fully allowed, or do we just not do much about it?

Its not allowed at all. It is against bohemias TOS. Admins can't do anything about it because no one tells them they are selling/buying.
