Would you like an house auction site feature?

Basically a site feature where you can auction houses/put houses up for sale and then anybody can buy VIA the web (not in game), it would feature an interactive map where you can like view the houses and stuff. It would also be automatic, so it would be built into the game.

Honestly man,sounds like an awesome idea but devs have a lot of work as it is.Staff can correct me if I'm wrong but if you have the knowledge to make this kind of dev stuff,just apply for developer.

Great idea homie. But in all reality i don't think that is even possible. Correct me if i am wrong but i was told that bans are administered through this website in some way shape or form. So i guess there is some sort of connection with the forums and the server but idk how you could do this.

Wasn't there some dev working on something like this some time ago? If I remember right the dev left and the idea was left to rot.

If I was a dev I would do it, viewing the way data is handled with this Altis Life plugin/mod it shouldn't be too difficult.

I applied for dev last time but the positions were full, I'll test my luck again by sending another application.

If I'm not wrong, the game servers are using a basic MySQL database to store information. You can access those type of databases anywhere, from a game server to a website. Heck, most websites you see store there information/data via MySQL (mariadb, phpmyadmin, etc) which is basically what the game server is using. I even bet that the database that the game server uses is actually even hosted on this domain/web host.

No, this would only allow people with the most money to win an auction. Better to keep it diverse, other than just having a rich fuck out-bid everyone. Ruins player housing diversity.

I already offered to write the code and everything but we would need a headless client for it and that requires another server so we didn't implement it.

It depends, how are houses assigned to players for Arma 3 Altis Life? Is it in the same database that holds the players money, items, etc or no?

This feature has been implemented in multiple RP servers, and was ruined by having trolls, post shit like a 2 crater for 5 mil. It is a good idea, but will have to have an even better system!
