You upload the Gif as a normal profile pic but it has to "follow" the already put in place rules which is that it cant be above the size shown in the pic below.

Yea its a pain in the ass but you can find ways to compress the files down

Depending upon the tags you have on the forums you have more or less file size space to put into a profile. 

I know Sr APD can have pfp that are too big for people with just APD, R&R, and Support team tags 

 

Idk why its like this but yeah, everyone should just have the same rather than sr's having more storage
