This is a good way to make new players leave. We already have an issue of scats causing new players to instantly leave once they spawn in one single city within less than an hour.

The reality of all this is people that even go on the forums are the people that have money... this isn't going to effect the people on the forums but it will effect the non-no-life players that play the game to enjoy it and come on every now and again to refresh their deed.

Many better ways to get some money out of the economy.

IDK dude, if property taxes are relatively low e.g. 10% of house value + upgrades newer players won't struggle to pay if it's something like bi-weekly.

Like I said earlier make every additional house add 2.5% to your tax capping at 20%. If you own 4 houses you can afford the property tax which can't be higher than a mil every other week and a new player with a nice ass house is paying 200k taxes at most every 2 weeks, that's the cost of a full rebel loadout and if you use your silver house you'll have no trouble paying it.

Tax Rate = 10% of property value + upgrades every two weeks. Every additional house will increase your tax rate by 2.5% eventually maxing out at 20% tax rate per house, Someone with a house worth 2mil will only pay 200k which isn't much but someone with multiple large houses will be paying astronomical taxes forcing them to either make the house productive somehow or risk losing significant amounts of money, garages can't be productive so they should be tax free though but house hoarding or buying a house in a good location, upgrading it then flipping for a profit would be very expensive and inconvenient.

i feel like a system like this would be a excellent way to implement a system that would prevent people from hoarding houses. But I disagree with you that garages should be exempt from taxes. Maybe they should get taxes but not increase your tax rate. I really like the increasing tax rate for the more homes a player owns, though. +1

I see a lot of people saying  that this would only affect poor people. I don't think this would be a very big issue, since a lot of poor people don't even have house, and if you do have a house, you surely can pay 10% of that every month. Though they could implement something where you only start getting taxed if you have more than 1 house.

The issue isn't the pricetag but bringing in an inevitable payment on the playerbase. I am simply telling you this will make people quit the server if they're hovering 500~k and get on to check their deed and logoff. I have done that before because I don't play this game in the non summer months or corona seasons. I can imagine many others like me that would go inactive for a few months - only getting on to check their houses and come back to a lost house because I wasn't actively making money and losing tons of gear sets and supplies.

well maybe u retards should sell ur houses, then. maybe they could add some sort of way to rent your house out to someone to give the dumbasses who leave for extended periods of time and don't have their taxes, to put that shit on someone else while they are gone.

 

i feel like this would give noobs an easier time of obtaining homes while also giving u retards some leeway.

maybe even some added protection for any dumbasses who miss their taxes, the house has a grace period for a month, where you can purchase the house again for FULL PRICE.  after the grace period, anyone can buy.
