Actually he really never cheated..

He doesnt have an alt so it really just dont make any sense at all, he cameback after 2 weeks without playing to a ban evading ban while he never used an alt, either an admin did him wrong or theres a problem on how they linked / verify that ban.

I assure you I wouldnt be trying to cover his ass if he did, but he didnt that is ridiculous that nobody wants to talk with him on teamspeak yall have the wrong guy.

 @ Mako   if reskn got a scripting ban on RDM projekt why does this automatically mean he's permed on oly?

Surely there's things in place that would detect him using it on oly?

Just a lil something to add to @ reskn

His current ban is due to using scripts on RDM Projekt... A server that isnt olympus. And my client is permed with no obvious solution. 

Now, with this being the case surely our glorious leaders here take cheating very seriously even if not on Olympus. 

But wait.... Whats this????? 

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury I present Exhibit A - A video posted by none other than @ Olsson  Blatent cheating silent aim type shit.

Now as you can see home boy is clearly cheating.

Does this mean that cheating is ok on whatever server OLSN joined here?

Or does someone else have to get permed?

There is a clear use of cheats here yet he's still and avid Olympus enjoyer.

Now ask yourselves this ladies and gentlemen of the jury....

How do you feel knowing that potential cheaters are roaming around untouched on our freshly built pyrgos casino?

It seems to me a little favouritism is at play here fellas now I dont know about you but if its one rule for one it should be one rule for another.

And please if im wrong here I'd like to know what the ground rules are here as it just looks like the servers a clubhouse, if you're in the club you don't have to follow the rules other people do and its a real shame because this server is great and in order to keep it thriving stuff like this should be treated equally.

I can't disclose any information on active scripting bans but would like to clear this up.

The video you had featured we would more defined as exploiting. Arma 3 is a client authoritative game and mission creators will sometimes write code that makes themselves vulnerable to execution exploits due to the games naturally insecure nature. In the beginning of the video you see him open debug console and have it blurred out. That is how he was executing the code that he was and doing the stuff he was.

Point being is that what he was doing was an exploit of the server developers mission file. The scope of what he was doing he would not be able to do on any other server, including ours. When we ban people for scripting, we are usually banning them for injection related hacks that would violate Bohemia's TOS. The reason he is not banned here is for the same reason we wouldn't likely ever carry over a duping ban from another server. Because the scope is isolated to that server and it's not worthwhile enforcing here.

That said, if anyone was doing something like that here; it would obviously absolutely result in a perm.

Just wanted to put that out here as someone who also wants to see the server ridden of Aegis specific issues

There's a major difference between someone utilizing a mission file specific exploit vs downloading and injecting cheats into their client or utilizing a driver based exploit to gain an advantage.

One is usable on our server, the other is not.

 

TL;DR, he's not getting unbanned.
