What I'm hearing here @thomaslorddd is appeal the decision and another staff member will apply their own common sense and may have a different opinion on if a rule was violated. It seems there's not a consensus on the rule based on this post - when in doubt: appeal!

I respect the hell out of you Civac but I think a lot of people would disagree with you on this point, myself included. 90% of support cases are interpretation and with no independent check on APD other than OS (most of whom are sAPD members themselves) interpretation gets perverted as precedent or case law. Im not saying Asylum is better on this, I'm just saying this statement has plenty of room for improvement

This is where we disagree. It is true that most support cases are pointless (as I've said before in this thread - can be fixed but that's another discussion) its that sort of attitude (especially coming from an admin) that turns a lot of people off from the server. If the only resolution to a problem is to take the time to submit a player report or IA it creates way more tickets and doesn't allow for any discussion. Support should be encouraged, not shunned. Even if the positive interactions are rare, that doesn't mean they don't exist. Would you like to join Zeuse and I on the #FuckSupport committee? I can offer you executive secretary or treasurer.

Big +1 to that. Maybe we can co chair the #FuckSupport train? But in all seriousness, support is incredibly broken and frustrating but I think the best policy of engagement is to at least try going in to determine if theyre brain dead or reasonable.

I think this statement is true for some (which is incredibly unfortunate and could be fixed though policy changes for support - but that's another discussion) but I personally do not try to extort anyone in support and as you can clearly see in the video, extortion didn't occur there. It was *supposed* to be a clean and civil discussion. Thats what support is there for and thats what it should be used for.

See this all sounds great but then when we try to have a reasonable discussion with some members of SAPD we're told "report me" and they disconnect, or in some cases refuse to even come to support.

People disagree with this change because its a stupid idea, not because I told them to. Additionally, you're wrong about who is killing the server. You're stuck in your staff sadp suck bubble, if you left you'd realize most of the people.comlmain about arbitrary rule changes that APD makes. You'll note most of the downvotes on my posts are from sapd members. There's actually a very easy fix to that that you as cheif were never able to comprehend or approach: have a civil discussion about balance between factions. However you are incapable of having a civil and productive discussion. I've already had good conversations with Winters, and I believe this is a realistic option with him. You don't bother to ask questions or talk to people you resort to name calling and arrogance, the sign of a weak argument and a weak leader which explains why many people (myself included) are so hostile to sapd. Funny how you comment on other people's hours but ignore when I post your strictly cop playtime while you claim to be the "savior of the new player"

Civs play four hundreds if not thousands of hours on this server too, without riding dick for rank or status. Stop acting like APD are the only committed players to this server and deserve all these rewards. Many people have played this server longer than some of the current sapd members and don't want all this special treatment, they just want a fair server. Your argument is terrible.
