Although I would say take this with a grain of salt, this is how I interpretted the following ideas when they were presented to us. To add on to what SPBojo said: from my understanding this charge was only ever proposed because police were tired of civilians loitering around active situations within illegal areas and claiming the legal high ground. Otherwise the officer would have to establish that they are interfering (which they may not be) but that wouldn't change that they are a nuisnace to the situation at hand. The exact wording of this charge right now is "Entering an Illegal Area". I believe there has been discussion about changing the name to "Loitering in an Illegal Area". I think that line of discussion came out of concern that it could potentially be misinterpreted. I would support a name change of this charge to prevent abuse along with provisions that officers have to give multiple warnings for a civilian to leave before the charge may be added (if that is not already a subject of discussion). From my understanding of the provisions as they were presented to us was that there would be a "5 second delay to open". I interpretted that as after scanning the vehicle, there would be some sort of loading dialogue from it being an instant form of feedback but that the 5 seconds was not time of which required to scan. Although again, I could be wrong, but this is how I interpretted it. Especially with hatchback sports, I would think that performing this scan would be impossible if the cursor target had to be on vehicle for 5 consectuive seconds. I think @ SPBojo mentioned it earlier but I believe this function will be on the actual vehicle opposted to the cop as a player like in the past. I know when I play as cop my vehicles tend to be left around in random places after death when I am responding to a situation. By having it be on the vehicle it would increase the desiarability of stealing which I would think kind of balances it out.

I hadn't heard of TMC but took a look at it and I can see why you like it! A lot of people talk smack on penny stocks but honestly as long as you are buying with regard to risk, there really is no downside to it since you are buying in at such a cheap price. I honestly do not know much about deep sea mining, but I do know that mining in general is a HUGE industry that a lot of people underestimate. Gold makes motherboards, copper makes conductors and wires, lithium and lanthium (whoo baby!) make batteries for phones, computers and electric cars. Really investing in mining is just investing in the future demand and higher quality of technology. I actually think I am going to drop some dime on them today. Also what you said about the 401k is totally correct too. My previous company had a really good match but GOD the actual stock options were SHIT. Every single fund listed were ones that happened to have the brokers own stock inside of it. Every single one underperformed every single one of my general market ETFs that I would typically buy. Should be illegal honestly haha. I definitely love a good call/put option so you'll definitely have to send me your positions sometime. They are sure fun when they print, and are sure not fun when they don't that's for sure Best of luck to you too!

Both @ Snake and @ Noble have really good advice. I'm fairly young so it was not long ago when the entire topic of investing completely disinterested me. Around peek COVID while the whole Gamestop shenanigans was going on, I got into the stock market as I thought the entire concept of how they were able to pull it off was interesting. Needless to say, I opened up a brokerage account on Robinhood. Gambled $400 into $1100 via contracts then lost it all LMAO. I learned a lot though: Do not make the dumbass decisions I did: Do not day trade. Do not purchase short term contracts. Do not purchase extremely leveraged positions. Not saying never do it. Just be realistic about it if you do. It's speculative at best, gambling at worst. Buy ETFs: I recommend ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds). The idea behind ETFs are that you are really buying into a collection of securities (stocks) or a general market sector. Instead of hedging a bet on one specific company, you're reducing your risk by betting it on an industry. The reason this matters is because a good company can still lose half of it's value if board members start making really poor decisions. Take Snapchat and Netflix for example. An ETF on the other hand will oftentimes have much better long term returns. Even if one company doesn't perform well in that sector, it's competitors will; and that's what ETF's are for. Although I would encourage those new to choose a market that they know or like, here are a few of my personal favorites: [$SPY, $QQQ, $DIA, $LIT]. 401k is OP: As much as a 401k sounds boring as shit, it is probably single handedly the best investment choice that you can make. If an employer is offering you a 25-50% match on your contribution; to put that into perspective that is literally 25-50% ROI (Return on Investment) you are making risk free. I don't know of a single other investment tool that allows you to have that kind of rate of return at a guarentee. Best part is that depending on the 401k/Roth you are running, you also oftentimes get really great tax advantages too. Which although may not seem like a huge deal now, when you're looking to retire and withdrawl large amounts frequently to live off of, the percentage of it that is yoinked by the government makes a difference. That's my take anyways I do not provide personal investment advice and I am not a qualified licensed investment advisor. I am still the dumbass who posted this.

After the freezebomb is placed, the victim cowers in fear unable to move all the while recieving an alert that one has been placed on them. If the player moves from the position after having it been set, they (and anyone within the near vicinity) get blown to kingdom come. I put this post in the "General Chit-Chat" opposed to the "Suggestions" forum because this mass RDMING abomination has zero business being an item on olympus. I did find it funny enough to wanna post though haha.

I can't speak to APD/RNR relations back in 2016 as I wasn't super involved in either community back then but I can speak to the problems now. I feel like every time I hop on cop there is always some sort of RNR aggression. The other day I heard something along the lines of "these medic retards better fuck off and not come near here". I'll ocasionally here it vice versa too (RNR slandering APD), although I would say it's usally not as frequent and to a way lesser degree. As someone who plays a lot of both factions and has plenty of friends on each; it just kinda sucks to hear how each faction tends to treat one another sometimes

I think it's practicallity lies in it's subtlties. Here is what I imagine it has really helped with: People taking whining about compensation to a one-on-one coms channel that is not Side-Chat (like before) Allow Administrators to easily establish patterns among players being actively reported for RDM Create a more comprehensive history of a players compliance with Olympus Policies (providing a background check like system for large promotions) Provide a dedicated system for compensation allowing compensated money to be found easier on-record in the event someone doesn't hold their word and submits anyway I hear what you are saying about the disputes system being a poor reporting system. The way I see it though, it really isn't a report system. I see it more as a way for players to be able to handle violations before it escalates to a level where people need to be banned and Admins need to spend the time to look at reports. That's all just my opinion though

I've been watching this thread for the past day or two now curious. I haven't done any kind of scrap anything yet in the server so I don't have a bearing on how much scrap is a lot of scrap per-se. Looking at that amount though what was in the gang-base looked like a lot which began to have me kind of concerned. At the same time though, didn't appear to be exactly proof of any kind of wrong-doing. Even say it was an outrageous amount (which I don't do scrap so I have no idea), that amount of scrap could've just as easily came from exploiting or glitch from non-administrative members. The image you showed of the keys is pretty exonerating of any of the accusations here. Only "Admin abuse" I have ever been a victim to on Olympus has been sitting in a boat in Kavala square haha.
