Paypal hates me. Sometimes my account lets me donate to Olympus, sometimes I get random "Technical difficulties" that are probably account holds but PayPal is too shitty of a company to be up front with its users.

It's pretty sweet. Pretty much a Huron that cruises super fast. Probably OP on Olympus as nothing else currently in the game would be able to catch it.

Does your monitor have a button to switch which input it's listening to? Or some sort of in-monitor setting?

I'd make moving to an SSD your #2 priority, but I think you'll still see a big performance boost from a GPU upgrade. Then a little later down the line you could upgrade the cpu/mobo/RAM but keep the GPU and SSD.

If power supply is your concern, you should be fine if you could previously run a 560 Ti - these new cards aren't giant power sucks like the Titan X etc.

If you can hold out a few weeks and get yourself a 1070 (or 1080 if you can afford it) it'll be very worth it. These 2 new cards coming out are faster than the current top of the line for like half the price - in terms of performance/price the 1070/1080 are the biggest jump in value we've seen in many years. Personally, I'm planning on swapping out my GTX 770 for a 1070 ASAP.

If you don't want a medic in the cartel fight, fire warning shots or send a text and that medic will almost always be gone. Problem is when people try to "have their cake and eat it too" - get their friends revived but not their enemies.

Looks like yet another month where we won't hit the goal. Starting to think this is by design...

Right now I'd just wait and buy a 1070 or 1080 for the GPU. Way more bang for your buck, while using less power at the same time.

Yes. If you have a bounty you're fair game. Some APD members choose not to go after anyone with a small bounty, but it's a personal preference.

Maybe shipwrecks are coming back...

The old situation wasn't sustainable forever. It's a much better game with a level playing field.

There's been a huge difference in the response between the first two months of the new donation system, and these past two months. Honestly, it's because the rewards just haven't been that good. I don't think people are responding to the temporary rewards proposed (like Striders or the discount this month). I know we'll run out of things eventually, but unlocking go karts might be a place to start. Maybe also unlock a gun, but nothing OP. Rangefinders are a possibility. The sports hatchbacks and mohawks and vests were things that created an uneven playing field, and the community really responded when it was given the opportunity to correct this. Now, I think the pot needs to be sweetened with a big thing and a bunch of little things if we ever want to see the same response.

Attempt to fight while outnumbered (and win). Cheating is dealt with by active admins so there's actually some competitiveness. ~ Do you have any tips or hints for new members? ~ Don't trust late night "server truces". Do delivery missions until you have a fleet of cars and can afford some basic weapons, then do legal goods. Turtles. Look at whether there are medics online before deciding which server to join. Medics greatly affect the risk/reward of many activities. Solo play is often more profitable than group play. APD and R&R tests focus on the aspects of the rules that ARE NOT common sense. If you try to "wing it", at all, you will fail.
