I'm a pretty straightforward guy, and I call it how I see it. Your post is what it is, but way to deflect the actual point.

 

Do you know what a gang is? It's a group of people who play together. It's a clan. A group. A team. An outfit. A guild even.

That's exactly what the APD is supposed to be. It's what every Police Department is. A team of folks aligned to a common goal.

 

Again, you're mad because they chose to deal with your crime instead of someone else's crime. But you were committing crime, they caught you fair and square, and your next reaction is to come on the forums and complain that "Ohhh waaahhhh APD are just a gang, they just want money, waaaahhhh" yeah, exactly. That's how it's designed. The APD catch criminals and that's what they get paid to do. You act like the Police shouldn't be fighting crime and shouldn't get paid for it.

its funny you say that casue ive never seen the APd respond to a civ in distress while being attacked or having all thier shit stolen at cememnt trader or rock mixing....APD dont respond to people requests for help...which should be their primary job dont you think?........catching people running drugs is literally all they do cause its the most profitable. they dont care about RP and they def dont care about what happens to civs on the server....all my gang memebers who play cop just play for the money thats it and it fucking sad. you wanna play as a cop? maybe actually play as a cop cause ive never seen regular cops in RL go raid drug feilds only ATF do that shit. and befior you say well "this isnt real life" ....of course its not but isnt an RP server supposed to match RL is some ways at least.....

Just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

I have participated in and seen from the outside Cops escorting civs during their legal runs and I have also participated and seen from the outside cops responding to distress calls from civs and saving them. Sometimes they don't show up in time. Sometimes they are also busy dealing with something else.

 

Cops probably spend half their time online processing someone. If they're in Kavala, it's more like 75% of their time. Requests for help come in, although probably not as often as you think. But there are many times where the APD is simply busy dealing with a pursuit, gunfight, processing, etc. when these requests come in. Most folks really don't get it until they become a cop themselves and find out how busy it gets.

 

In my experience, especially during the busier times of the day, the APD simply don't have time to escort legal runs or respond to calls for help because of all kinds of things going on throughout the server. When it's between 2-8AM is probably the only window each day where APD can reasonably respond to everything in a timely manner.

 

While I would agree with you that the incentive to make money is not good enough on civ compared to the other factions, it doesn't necessarily reflect a problem with the APD. It more so reflects a problem on Civ that needs to be addressed and will be addressed as that's what we're preparing solutions too these days.

You're entitled to have your own opinion about the APD but you cant get mad at them for doing their job. They patrol illegal areas and stop crime, you cant get mad at them for stopping you from doing illegal runs because in the end they are paid for stopping illegal activities.

ok bud first things first g3T gud. I actually escorted a diamond run earlier today, so what ur saying is false. From what i can tell either the sirens scared the robber enough he left or it was already done when they got there. Also they said they would let u go in 20 min which should be a red flag to u. Since u studied the handbook so well im sure u know processing can only last 15 min without interference. Anyways i'm pretty sure they let u go after they were done processing u hehe xd.

i love how u legit make up rules as soon as ur able to speak. like i get how a rotor tap can be seen as vdm to newer player, but there is nothing anywhere that says "u have to respond to the situation u originally meant to". btw u should try to press c

Hold it, hold it. Youre telling me that these officers abandoned a gas station robbery to try to take down a minor Crystal Meth operation? I mean come on, Meth, is by far one of the greatest and least harmful drugs out there with no adverse effects. These officers should have protected that poor NPC back at the gas station instead of harassing some poor guy making the greatest gift from God. I get exactly what you're saying. I've been pulled over by speed traps IRL where I have been unfortunate enough to be caught for speeding. My argument of "Hey look at all those speeders ahead of me, why aren't they being stopped and harassed by the pigs" works everytime. I'll see to it that justice is served to you my friend, those officers must respond to the call they are initially responding to no matter what, and no matter how big or small the crime is. Cops are responding to a robbery in progress they MUST continue and never divert to any other crimes, such as a murder in progress or a bank robbery. And, if there is a Fed/Jail/Blackwater, well those criminals must wait their turn because the APD needs to keep responding to that gas station robbery no matter what.
