kinda a stupid question but what is my player id is it my in game name or my steam id thing

A for sure way to do it for me is to go to your profile in steam itself and it'll be a link at the top of the page, the numbers on the end of the link is your SteamID

Is this why in all of my support tickets over time my number has changed for no apparent reason? sometimes ending in a 4 other times in a 12.
