JSRS Sound Mod Query

Does anyone use the JSRS sound mod? Just wanna know if its worth running or if its a waste of time installing it. seen good and bad reviews around.

Personally not a fan of the sound mod. Makes some vehicles lowkey sound like ass and I feel like 90% of the guns sound the same. Plus, I didnt wanna try to relearn all the gun sounds again.

 

I run the dark mode and the Livonia lighting mod and thats it. The other lighting mod is way to dark and is straight ass.

Personally, dont like the sounds over base arma but its better than base arma, less earrape imo

 

New gun sounds yeah but eh, gun sounds hasnt mattered in ages

the mod itself is better than base sounds do the cross map choppers etc

I don't know if this is true because I haven't compared it to anyone else not playing with the mod, but personally I feel like I can hear vehicles at a greater distance with the mod enabled. I've been hearing cars roll around that no one else around me hears.

I noticed that a lot of sounds seemed "broken". It sounds like my tires are screeching at all times while driving and sometimes sounds clip weird. I feel like I installed the wrong version or something.

When I watch player reports sometimes I get lost with where the fuck they are being shot from with it. Haven't actually tried it myself tho.

It helps you hear things further out so if ur a runbot its a god send. can hear almost anything a click away

Yea you can hear which rebel a hatchback coming in to bottleneck went towards while sitting on window, so it's pretty good.

Ion like it I just use liviona light mod cuz it helps see through smoke sometimes but I may b on crack

You can do that without sound mods if you know how sound channels work well enough
