We had this exact same problem on swat. We had to follow rules that were simply just not in the handbook like you had to regroup 1k off cap because mako said so. It also doesn't help that a handbook for a videogame is as long as a dissertation making it impossible for anyone to learn the rules.

Honestly this reminds me we need to get the swat rules and wiki up to date still tbh, I have no problem gathering my PSAs and adding them to the written rules. At least theres a lot less because mako said so now lmao

In the video Nicole posted, King seemed to freeze in place like he understood what he was doing was prob not okay. Again, lack of context. But that’s what I got out of it. 
 

I will scream this for all sAPD to hear - TRANSPARENCY. The entire community would appreciate the sAPD in a much broader way if they truly understood the processes happening behind the scenes. Some things are secretive for a reason, I know that very well. But right now there’s 0 transparency for the jAPD and the rest of the community. The outlook isn’t great and the opinions they’re coming up with make sense based on the information they are given. 
- This also includes all rules being transparent and available in the handbook. No APD rules should be enforced via PSAs. They should all be listed directly and clearly in the handbook. 
 

Friends should have a way harder time becoming sAPD than the regular corps who bust their ass. I know how dumb the sapd mentality can get where a PO/corp makes one mistake and is labeled as retarded forever before getting a chance. The way to fix that outlook is to play with the corporals and POs. I could think of a few corps already that would challenge the sAPD to think other ways and have been around a while. But probably don’t get played with regularly by sAPD. The process feels lazy and very word of mouth vs actual experience. 
 

This has become an attack people you don’t like thread. If anything, @ nicole being the only one with the balls (figuratively speaking) to be in here and speaking her opinions and going back and forth is more than pretty much any other senior is giving here. Ask genuine questions. Stop cat fighting. It could be productive if everyone put their egos away.

It's crazy how our roles are entirely different. Did you not see the part where I said that when I was a SGT, I had a minimum of 25 hours played every week and 70 OICs never once missed my times, missed my OICs needed, and never once missed a meeting as a SGT LT or CPT? I had the most OICs and time played out of every Senior APD member for 7 months straight. Doing all of that, I was still doing so much work for SWAT and was a Designer and Senior designer, excluding my IRL obligations. I needed a break to revive my interest in doing desk work and playing in-game. I still hold the most tests to this day. Find someone else to discredit, because I can assure you it isn't me; the statistics are there; everything is there. I earned every rank I was ever given on this video game, fair and square.

Gonna say it once and leave it at that.  Everyone knows exactly what the fuck the problem is.  The chief doesn't want to play with people at all.  The chief of police, the man people are supposed to associate with the role of being their leader, won't so much as say a single word to anyone below deputy chief.  Everyone under him constantly makes excuses for the behavior because anyone saying anything slightly negative could destroy their APD careers. 

The only currently active high ranking cop that spends any time at all actually playing with the lower ranks is Rexo.  Winters and Mako just ego everything and everyone.  When mako gets on it's full clique.  Separate channels or log out if people not from his little group start playing cop.  Winters will straight up play 6 hours solo without spending 1 minute in vc.  Doesn't even stop to say hi.  Everyone under him just constantly 24/7 makes excuses for that behavior.  He's a leader.  He doesn't get to do that.

Fact of the matter is, and I'm not even memeing here, Caloom Clark does more to lead apd and play with the lower ranks as an FTO in any given random day than winters has the entire 3 months I was on APD.  

APD is basically like one of those dead gangs where ex members keep trying to bring it back, the old leadership won't pass r5 on, and is more content to watch it die a slow painful death repeatedly than take responsibility for it.

Winters is probably an alright dude.  I have nothing against him personally... but he's literally doing the worst possible job anyone in that position could possibly do.

80% of people who have been on APD, ACTIVELY, for more than a year that  have never once  heard the chief of police say a single word.   
 

This isn't entirely winter's fault.  Due to anyone trying to fix the situation getting their apd careers assassinated, 100% of the responsibility for this situation falls on whoever's job it is to make sure APD's command structure is functioning properly from the top down.  Staff need to step in and fix it. 

The situation with king, doesn't fucking matter at all tbh.  Even if king makes mistakes, and has far too cavalier an attitude to be in a position of authority in the apd (imo), he at least plays with everyone when he does.  He mixes and mingles with all the ranks.

TBH every single person that gets SGT does the same thing than they realize there is more to life than a video game so they cut it back for a little bit and than they get LT and do the same thing.

The majority of this thread is retarded but I will agree with a few things. The wrong people got promoted a long time ago and it caused issues that've lasted for 2 years.

King was unironically probably the most useless SAPD member I've seen in my like 4-5 years of SAPD mirrored only by the efforts of @ Revise  holding onto his Corporal.

You guys piss on Winters but didn't have to spend hours on hours wasting away talking about promotions because some of the most savage rank hungry dogs were willing to Coup him for Headless so that they could get different vest or gun. This didn't even happen once, they tried 3 times lol (Good job getting Chief of Police @ Brandyn  ). Imagine how disincentivizing playing the server is when the only thing you have to deal with is drama from within your own faction.

I don't think I was good at the end, and I certainly let a lot of things happen that I should've protested more about but I sure am glad that I did what I could to prevent these mfs from forming the mega-clique and making the server and APD worse for the general population.
