@ silton it's really not : just don't blatantly break rules and when in doubt comp it out.
Hell, a lot of APD and SAPD members also play civ in active gangs and take part in "high risk" activities ban wise.
The difference is they know a civ ban can fuck up their APD WL so they generally follow the rules and will rectify their mistakes.
You can't do dumb shit, play aggressively and break rules because "it's only a one-day bro" and then bitch when your multiple bans for RDM/Fail RP/Combat storing keep you from getting a staff position.
I've lost count the amount of times I've dealt with players with 1000+ hours who've blatantly broke rules and refused to comp because it was going to be a short ban.
Yeah, you won't see SAPD or Sr RnR doing that shit.

@ LULA 2022 - PT 13 I personally have broken rules knowing fully what I'm doing the whole time I've played.
My issue is there have been multiple situations and appeals where the civ shouldn't have been banned and was still banned.
I also have seen many situations where a cop has been giving a verbal warning for a rule break where a civ would have gotten a ban due to the fact that cop reports go through the internal affairs.
For example there was a fed where admins were spectating saving videos of Civs backpacking and giving them bans. They also caught an ex admin with a kinda clean ban history(millenium) who was on cop and gave him a verbal warning where another ex admin with a very clean ban history(kamikaze) was given a one day ban. FOR THE EXACT SAME THING.
Tell me how that makes sense and I can guarantee this happens all the time. This system is blatantly biased to the APD.
