We mentioned before we want to do event admins, and we finally put everything together We are excited to introduce Event Admins, a dedicated team focused on delivering consistent, fun, and well-organized events for the community. This new structure ensures smoother scheduling, clearer expectations, and more exciting gameplay opportunities for everyone. Welcome our new Event Admin's: @ Xlax @ Millennium @ Jordan540 @ Rexo @ Mighty These guys have been cooking up some insanely fun ideas and events for all of you to experience and I am excited to see you all participate in these events. If you have any ideas you'd like to bring to them in regards to future events, please feel free as we are open to all suggestions Now for the info... Event Types Daily Event Menu Events Pre-scripted, ready-to-run events using the built-in event menu. Examples: TDM, Russian Roulette, Gun Game, Etc. (We will be adding more events in a future update ) Weekly Custom Events Unique activities not listed in the event menu but don’t require major pre-planning or multiple staff members. Just on the spot fun and chaos, kind of like how I have been running events these last 2 weeks personally. Examples: VIP Escort, Fun Federal Events, Quick Mini-Games, Etc Monthly Major Events Large-scale events requiring pre-planning, announcements, and server-wide participation. Examples: Gang Wars, KOTH, Special Federal Events, Purge, Gang Blitz, Tournaments, Holiday Events, Etc Scheduling All event admins will be communicating with you guys! We will be doing the following: Avoid overlapping events Prevent overloading specific days Communicate which days they plan to host events Creating announcements on the forums and/or discord pings in our announcement channel Example: We shouldn't have four admins each running seven events on a Tuesday while other days remain empty. We don’t have 100% focus on reforger, more of a side project when there’s time. Nobody is dedicated to it currently though. Olympus has tried other games and not only has it been proven to be a waste of dev time but also kills the arma along side with it. Player retention changes for arma has been discussed and will be implemented in coming updates. Also, arma 4 will be nothing different from reforger, reforger basically a beta for arma 4 at this point. So if we did anything there’s it’s basically copy paste and calling it a day so all in all time wouldn’t be considered a waste on there. We have had slowed down dev work over the last few months and our pop sliced literally by half since then. Can’t afford to stop here all together unfortunately. Mass bans don’t ever work either. Maybe for a month but after that 9/10 times the person we unbanned gets rebanned for the same thing again.

I’ve always said I’m down to do reforger, getting devs for it are tough. Doing both with the current team will also be tough as there is a huge learning curve. I have nothing confirmed but will say we have been looking into it more recently. If anyone feels they are good enough to join the team and assist they are welcome to apply as well

@ Xlax Blew up the servers with M5 in that era too. Was permed for scripting way back when before we took it as serious as we do now. Don’t see you talking shit on that one, quite frankly nobody here can. People get banned for misconduct all the time. Bohemia gives us the ability to lift the perms as long as it’s taken care of and isn’t a repeating offense. It’s been a private agreement we had with them for over 6 years now. He got banned, he served his time, he got unbanned. Simple as that not sure what you trying to do here but it won’t work lol I don’t know anything about his scripting ban, and tbh I don’t care enough to look. I trust the team enough to decide on who’s good/bad for staff. If he was unbanned and allowed to become staff I highly doubt there was any viable evidence for him cheating.

Normally I ignore these cringe ass posts and laugh but since you decided to @ me ill give ya this since your posts pretty much is the only entertainment on these forums nowadays ^_^ Im usually nice to everyone so for me to say this means im just tired TBH. This post is unironically cringe and is the most prime example of spitting shit out of your ass ive seen to date. Your entire perception is wrong, everything you have ever really brought up is wrong. You believe you got all the answers yet you have never provided a good solution that would actually work. Its very easy as a player that loses to a group of people over and over again to accuse people of cheating. In my 10 years of being in this community I have seen it all, from the legit good players to the cheating ones. The staff here work diligently to make sure they make the right decisions, just because we dont spin up a post to notify you for every potential cheater we are looking into doesnt mean it isnt happening, and quite frankly past a report we dont owe an explanation at all. Its tough to distinguish long time players from legit vs cheating. Olympus as a whole has the most scripting bans to date from any other community, even when other servers were up and running, quite literally a whole discord was made with other server owners for us to "Cross Share" information, yet Olympus was the only one really providing the info. This game is too old for us to care about whether we should or shouldnt ban our friends. I have seen numerous staff over the course of the last few years personally ban their own friends over evidence they found on their own. People like @ Mako who has invested more time and work into this server then 99% of the people here doesnt care to let his cheater friends run wild. If he was certain they were cheating, he would of banned them no questions asked. He has just as many buttons as I do, with all the same abilities I have, so I highly doubt he cares about his friend having esp when in reality if he wanted to have it he can flip his own switch and nobody would know a difference unless we checked the logs. Fact is, one of his own close friends was also permed in this wave. In this ban wave, I personally lost a friend I was in channels with on a daily basis. He was permed for being part of the dox, and I had no idea he would even be capable of being part of it until the evidence was shown to me, despite what others have said to me about it. It is very much possible to be ignorant or just not pay attention to your own friends. Especially since those friends withhold information from you because they know you will ban them. Staff are still god damn human beings just trying to enjoy the game just like everyone else. Regardless, ive never seen someone have so much hate for this server, to a point where you get yourself permed on purpose and keep coming back thinking you know it all and try to stir the pot. I have yet to see you spit an actual fact that has been correct once, but hey you keep the forums alive I guess. Appreciate you for at least showing up once in a while for some mindless entertainment though.

I cant make comments to issues I have yet to address, so making false claims/promises on a post like this wouldnt be ideal. But I have been notified of concerns in certain areas and plan on addressing with the sAPD. I have already spoke to Senior Staff and Senior APD to free up some time for us to get together and fix whatever issues are going on. But if you read everything then you would of saw I mentioned this Which means just give us some time to look into it. Alright, had to do one of the old school click bait titles on you guys, you can all relax as this post is nothing but good. Its been a hot minute since I made one of these... figured this is a better time then any to make this post. This one wont be made by ChatGPT, wanted this post to actually come from me, which means my usual yap will be involved in this post, so ill break it into sections for you to be able to avoid what you dont care about. I got some awesome news/updates though and I think you guys will appreciate some transparency from our behind the scenes that we been working on So normally with these types of posts I say its been our best year ever or the support has been amazing and blah blah blah. Unfortunately, I do not have the ability to say that this time around. This year was most definitely not one of our best. But, we dont let that stop us and as an team we will keep it pushing until we no longer can. The team and I have listened to your feedback and have made initiatives to make changes moving forward. Staff Updates: In Game Changes, Balancing and Content Updates: Gang Wars: End of Year Giveaway: What's Next: The biggest complaints and issues are amongst factions, recent updates/changes, not being able to enjoy being in game and overall your voices recently feeling like they arent being heard recently. I came out of my hibernation to let you guys know I plan entirely on fixing that and we have already started that process and made changes over this weekend alone. Biggest thing I want to talk about is just simply the ability to have fun in game. Prime example for me is yesterday I was in game playing with a group of people when I got dive bombed by a plane. As someone with nothing to lose, I found it to be the funniest part of my night, but was in shock when the rest of the channel went silent and expected the worst such as a live ban/stripping the player of their money. There was no harm to the situation, everyone had a great time and the moment was straight up funny, so I revived the guy, sent his plane back into the garage and gave him some money and a car to leave the area. Everyone wins. I plan entirely on bringing back this type of fun in the game, with the tools staff has available to make it enjoyable for everyone, not just the big guys. This is the same fun that made me stick around years ago as a regular player. (**For clarity do not do this example to a regular player, you will get banned. I am someone with infinite money and the ability to rectify any situation I am in**) I know content updates have slown down, truth be told its hard to come up with things as a vanilla server at this stage of Olympus. We are the most heavily developed vanilla server to date and coming up with new ideas is tough. Along side, our devs have been non stop pumping for years now, so doing that with their daily lives is just as equally hard and I am truthfully appreciative for all the hard work they put in for us over the years. With that being said, if you have any sort of balance changes, content ideas, event ideas, etc please reach out to your Civ Council. We will be working with them much more on getting you guys the content and changes you are looking for. Anything specific to events please reach out to @ -dante- as he will be the one taking the lead on the new event initiative we are going to be running. I ask for patience as we play catch up, it aint easy to do this fast and for sure once again is not an overnight process. We got some awesome stuff coming up for everyone, I ask for some patience while we prepare everything we plan on pushing out to you guys.
