It isn’t often that I find myself at a loss for words, but I did find myself almost speechless after a recent conversation. The conversation that I’m referring to is my removal from the rank of Olympus moderator.
Although there were a few situations that I handled less than perfectly – I’ve never used my staff abilities or privileges with a malicious intent. I’m someone who is willing to do contribute to Olympus whether I have a staff panel in game or not, whether I have a staff tag or not, and whether I’m noticed or not (except for doing the wiki, if @Zahzi stops giving me staff points for that, I’m deleting it ).
Regardless of my intent, from what I understand, a combination of unfortunate oversights and mistakes all factored into my removal tonight. I’ve learned a collection of useful lessons through recent events, and I’ll be sure to take them to heart.
For the staff team members who I’ve worked with: I hold nothing against any of you. Thank you for everything you did to assist me in learning and doing my staff duties. Moderators, on the bright side, you’ll have the opportunity to gain more staff points than usual now that I’m not camping the ticket box.
For those who have had a negative experience with me: If I did something wrong towards you, I apologize. I hope you know how much I care about Olympus. Maybe you’re willing to have a positive experience with me in the future.
Members of the community, ultimately the most important component of Olympus: I’m not going anywhere. I’ll continue to make myself available to anyone who would like me to. Expect me to come back with the same effort to provide content for you – if not, better effort. Expect continuous Olympus Wiki updates, expect the “Who the fuck?” interview series to start up again, expect the Noble zerg to continue killing shit, expect the wheeling and dealing of gear, and expect the event coordinator position to be utilized in a way that creates highly anticipated content on the server.
Please feel welcome to message me on the forums, through Discord, or on Steam if you want to talk about anything or come play with me and the guys!
Also, for any of those who were wondering: yes, @Grandma Gary smells fucking stinky just as bad as you'd think.
